He’s not a “hatin old nikka” because he’s on the opposite end of the spectrum: an old nikka that refuses to grow up. He still makes music for teenagers and he relies on the younger generation to do so because he’s naturally corny and unlikable.

That’s not a diss either, it’s why he doesn’t do interviews. Any time drake shows his personality it’s cringeworthy so he always aligns himself with the younger generation of rappers to give himself validity with the young generation. The man wears cornrolls and nail polish :mjlol:

Now that I think about it, Drake is like the Benjamin button of rap. :ohhh:

His music matures backwards. Compare so far gone, thank me later, take care, views etc to what he’s putting out now. On the baby shark side of the game.
I say the same thang

Oh, some of y'all must have never heard the man speak. Mos has always spoke with that slurred kinda drawl. He even sounds like that in some of his acting roles.

That's what I'm saying. People thinking he's drunk or gay when he's always sounded like that. :mjlol:

To follow.

It is hard to listen to mos.
as the voice of reason.
yet in reality given his reality of being used culturally.
whether unknowingly with rawkus and cosby.

Is hard to listen to as the face of the voice of reason in this instance.

As the exact playbook drake uses is. from the misappropriated Mos def underground classically trained actor model as well.

So Mos needs to be as vocal.
as he was previously culturally. Plus denounce where and what occurred with some clarity before Taking to being the fact of rhe voice of reason. As we do not know.
what side culturally Mos def is aligned with.

At this point given his face of the underground act.
has been misappropriated by drake to kanye, pharrell etc.
while Mos was on hiatus.
dealing with his issues with no word of real attack. Like in the era.
when Mos was unknowingly funded by the Rupert murdoch family.

Drake has actually made stuff I can stomach pretty regularly.

That's about 100x more than I can say about any rapper who blew up in the 2000s

All y'all so quick to cape for Drake arent considering that Drake himself knows he's a pop artist. This ain't breaking news. Put your hockey sticks down .Yasiin was asked a question. He answered it honestly. End of convo.

Pop songs are contemporary and appeal to a wide audience. Drake's music fits this description. Seems pretty intuitive :russ:

To Mos' overall point, it's up to the consumer to change what they enjoy hearing. Many artists make music with captivating messages, but who's listening?

“Even though 'Hotline Bling' is not a rap song, the only category they can manage to fit me in is a rap category. Maybe because I've rapped in the past, or because I'm black, I can't figure out why,” he said. “I won two awards last night, but I don't even want them. … It feels weird for some reason.
