It's in the way that you use it.
This was classic Rick. Literally the smartest man in the universe and his ego is so fragile, he can't think for one second that any of his ideas are trash.
The best part of this episode was the Eric Clapton montage, then they go to this silent film for a while, and by the time you've forgotten about the montage, they go right back to it after Jerry presses the button.
I feel like they made Rick a mega a$$hole in this episode just to remind the more toxic corner of the show's fanbase that he's not meant to be idolized

I get that...but if there's near infinite realities and timelines...then what if Evil Morty is like The One in the Matrix where it will eventually happen in multiple timelines and realities as long as certain criteria are met
