So what I'm asking is this ...

let's take a random ancestor

your great grandmother on your mother's side

did you find out her who her great grandparents were?

To be comprehensive this has to be done with every ancestor so in the end at the very least you should know every grandparent or even better great grandparent's line on both sides of their families

How far did you go back?

I stated how far back I was able to trace in my original post, early 1800's

You don't get it

most people trace back not including every relative so most family trees are not complete

in other words you have two grandparents, four great grand parents, eight great great grand parents, sixteen great great great grandparents, thirty two great great great great grandparents, sixty four great great great great great grandparents. After nine generations you would have one thousand and twenty four 9th great grand parents. I highly doubt that you included all of these people on the tree and their children as well.

but ...

never-mind

the average (staying consistent with this term) AA isn't light skinned though

25% is just an average, that means there are black people with 10% and black people with 60%

and because of the one drop rule there are a lot of "black" people that are more than 50% white

Light skinned people probably have more than 25

But to clarify, light skinned people is just an anecdote to counter your anecdotal assertion of your geneology, light skin isn't scientific evidence of white genes

But knowing the history of African Americans and knowing the history of west Africans (All black people in the Western Hemisphere came from west Africa), it's pretty obvious that AA are more mixed than west Africans, the point is 25 is not surprising

:pachaha: She has to be joking right?

LOL she isn't, she even closed the comments section cause muthaphuckas were calling her out on it.

Comments have been disabled on this video because of a string of comments telling me I am not mixed. A few unkind and opinionated people ruined it for everyone. It is not others' place to tell me about my experiences, and so I have turned off comments.

I should not have to justify myself in anyway, however, to clarify, my mother is Trinidadian, and her mother is Indian. My father is black from the US. I consider myself mixed because of this and because of the fact that I come from two very different backgrounds. I also consider myself Black, but I'm proud of my mixed background. "Mixed" is not automatically Black + White.

Thank you for watching.

You can doubt as much as you want, or include whatever anecdote that you want. it really doesn't make much of a difference to me

Ok

If you say so ...

my final question is this...

You don't have photos of these people so how do you know what race all of them were?
