The census uses a one drop rule to classify people as negro

So if any of your ancestors were mixed there wouldn't be any record of it

So there is no contradiction between the census saying all your ancestors were negro and dna testing saying you are 10 percent white or that the average African American is 25% white

In fact if you look at the history of African Americans (consensual and non consensual sex between the dominant soceity and blacks), the wide skin color spectrum and the wide variety of hair types, the 25% average makes sense

We are from a very specific area in Africa, West Africa

AA have of a much wider spectrum in skin tone and hair types than west Africans and its logical to conclude that the cause of it is mixture between West Africans and Europeans

25% is the top end of the spectrum, while most African Americans are either in the single digits or in the teens in terms of their white dna percentage.

that's fine, you said that your parents were 13% European

That supports the assertion that African Americans are 25% ON AVERAGE

The key word is average, that means there are people that are more than 25 and less than 25

So for example if you took the white dna between a barely black, almost passing person like Thurgood Marshall and a dark skin person like Clarence Thomas

The AVERAGE would be 25

LOL she isn't, she even closed the comments section cause muthaphuckas were calling her out on it.

Comments have been disabled on this video because of a string of comments telling me I am not mixed. A few unkind and opinionated people ruined it for everyone. It is not others' place to tell me about my experiences, and so I have turned off comments.

I should not have to justify myself in anyway, however, to clarify, my mother is Trinidadian, and her mother is Indian. My father is black from the US. I consider myself mixed because of this and because of the fact that I come from two very different backgrounds. I also consider myself Black, but I'm proud of my mixed background. "Mixed" is not automatically Black + White.
