At this point every yearly sports game should be free to play.

at least drop the price and continue to rape on DLC/VC. But why do that?

nikkaz would charge VC to get the home and away uniforms and shyt. :mjlol:

it’d be dope if they did it like fortnite and made it free w/ necessary seasonal updates and just ate off microtransactions...it’ll never happen tho

I pay that half the time on these special editions anyway :yeshrug: if it can tone down the MTX (doubt it will but still), even better

I remember when cartridges was like $85....:scust: nah we aint going back to that... :camby:
FACTS!

Atari games were around $40 and close to the price of the 2nd gen 2600

i was working summer youth back in 92, SNES was $200, SF2 was $100

Games had no set price point

Ironically, this is how 2K broke into the market. They used to undercut the competition

The audacity.

The temerity of these fukk-ass companies, bruh, I swear. Then they'll turn around and charge $70 digital just like physical. Where did they ever get off running that racket in the first place without anyone whistling it dead? How does a license for a game cost the same as buying the physical disc? We know for a fact it costs them less for digital than physical... but those savings aren't passed down? As dumb as gamestop is... at least I can get $3.58 in store credit for a two week old game I finished as opposed to... zero fukking dollars at all because you can't re-sell licenses. It wasn't fine but I ignored that shyt last gen for convenience sake, but the idea that we gonna have to pay $70 solely to increase their personal profit margins for a game rife with fukkery and microtransaction gameplay gating... lol. nikka I wish I would.

2K can continue to eat every possible available dikk at once. If they could make a product worth $70, I still doubt I'd pay them $70.

This gen needs a resurgence of AA games priced at a smooth $40 for a tight experience I can be in and out with in under 20 hours. I don't just mean one or two, either. I mean 90% of games coming out this gen should have no reason to cost $60+. Slims down production cost and time, prevents crunch on their employees, and hell, would allow the medium itself to expand some without them setting up paywall roadblocks every two hours of play time because they gotta drag out play time as much as possible to entice you to pay them to play the game less. Trash.

Super Street Fighter 2 was $80 at launch at funcoland , I played the hell out of that.

the most expensive game I ever bought was king of fighters 98 for Neo geo. I remember it being $325 in china town.

games been like $50 $60 bucks since the 90s. surprised games don't cost 100 dollars now.
truthfully i would've rathered they increased prices instead of trying to gut the games with pay to play features.
NBA 2k used to let you put a created player in mycareer mode. I could make a overall 99 from day 1. nobody trying to grind as a bench warmer in a video game.
makes sense in an rpg, but not sports.
