I know right. Midichlorians makes sense. They believe that the Force flows in every living thing, so how else would they measure to see who would have the potential to become a Jedi? They had to be selective in their process, hence an easy quick test to measure your ability. Liken it to an IQ test. Everyone has an IQ, there are plenty of above average intelligence and geniuses that are never tested and therefore don't have their skills honed. But there are also smart people that end up not being geniuses when tested.

I was about to say something like this. "Midichlorians" is just a term to say that the "Mystical Energy Field" known as The Force is measurable.

In the original Star Wars, Darth Vader sensed "The Force is strong in this one" about Luke. Midicholorians are just units of "Force Strength". I'm sure Lucas was thinking of "Chi Energy" from martial arts movies. You midichlorian count is a measurement of your "Inborn Chi" level

TFA was....a meal from a well known restaurant that you left in the fridge for over a week now and decided to heat up. The results of heating it up in the microwave is exactly would you would expect from reheating a steak and mashed potatoes and veggies from Peter Lugers or some shyt, a week and some change after the fact. Yeah you could eat it but...I would'nt recommend it, breh

TLJ is that same meal from the restaurant...but this time you ordered the shyt from Applebees. And you STILL did the same fukking thing. Reheated the shyt like a week and some change AFTER the fact. And then got the nerve to be mad at Applebees. No breh, you reheating trash AND expecting it to be good and you wildin....

You can kinda make that comparison for the force awakens, but not for the last Jedi at all. It was either a deliberate hatchet job by someone who detests Star Wars, someone completely incompetent in the way of film making, or made/produced by someone so narcissistic and self righteous that they let their ego get in the way of making a coherent story and one that follows up what the previous film did because they want to push their own message. It was different from the other films in many ways, but for all the wrong reasons, with most of its similarities being the occasions where it wants to borrow imagery from past films.

I know george gets a lot of hate but at least the man gave us Lando, a nikka who runs his own city, and Mace Windu, the strongest Jedi of his time.

Ms. Feminist ....i mean Kathly Kennedy and her sidekick monkey JJ gave us Finn who ironically, has the most interesting character premise/potential of any SW character. He was a child soldier, who eventually rebels against the only intuition that he ever knew, that raised him. But instead we get T-Dog's busted great great great grandson in space.
