Never played these. Where should I start?

I started with 0 which is a prequel to the whole series so its a nice spot to hop in....and its easily one of the best games on the ps4. Story is filled with twists and turns....just absolutely great storytelling. Ton of side content which is really fun as well. After I played the remake of the first game Kiwami which was really cool but you could tell that the storytelling is 100 percent no where near 0. The devs seem to have gotten way better at this over time... so I think starting out with 0 is the way to go.

I dont think its a good look necessarily to start at the actual origins of a series... IE my friend let me borrow the uncharted collection but I couldnt get past the first few hours of Uncharted 1. Game is way too dated game play wise IMO.

I just copped the game....the load times feel horrendous. Go from playing an arcade game to exiting and waiting long enough to write this post on the Coli and then some.

I heard this is not the best Yakuza 6 ever. They took a lot of stuff from old Yakuza series shyt had me waiting on the sales for it,

Im really loving this game. Doing my best to not even continue the main story since I dont want it to end. Clan Creator is dope, the baseball stuff too. Loving all the side content and the references to 0. Only downside really is that I didnt play 2-5 so some stuff is getting spoiled or going over my head.

Combat at first I wasnt feeling the change from 0, but it seems like the game really wanted you to feel weak early on, cause after upgrading a lot the combat is way smoother and you got a ton of control over battles. The parry mechanic is really implemented well and takes away from the tedium of boss fights that used to just cheese you in previous games. Makes fights move quicker. IE in 0 and Kiwami most boss fights you used rush since it was the only one that could dodge efficiently and most bosses only allowed you to tag them quickly then they would go into an armor/invul move that would have to quick step. So with rush a lot of bosses would take a long time to complete since you arent getting a lot of hits in and they dont do that much damage. Or you would cheese them with beast if there was a lot of weapons around. I like how it is now, though I havent gotten too far in the main story to tell how the boss fights will go down later on.

I did notice in the menus that theres less side stories than in 0 but I think thats balanced out since there are a lot of large side quests like clan creator and baseball.

I used to think this...at first, until I got gud. I was wrecking bosses with Kiryu's throwing slow style, to the point that I was nigh untouchable.

I aint claiming to be an elite gamer on these single player games. I actually didnt even realize that beast was great for bosses until I got near the end of Kiwami and that was after completing 0.

Im up to CH8 now, got 52/62 sidequests done. Havent finished the cabaret club stuff as it feels repetitive and not very engaging, same for the RIZAP. Also wondering if theres a fast way to gain the green experience. Im seeing you get more of that from activities/games since you rarely get it in combat outside of bosses.
