I swear I've been running fades and opening previously locked chests for the past 2 days in this game
There's literally so much to do.I swear I've been running fades and opening previously locked chests for the past 2 days in this game
You ain't doing shyt without healing. I think one of the worst status ailments you can be hit with in the game is 'Seal Healing" by far. You can deal with just about anything as long as your healing can keep up with the enemy damage output. There's tons of ways to interrupt that damage, but very, very few ways to heal effectively or with any versatility by comparison.
Early on, a dedicated healer is really the way to go. Nia is that chick. But you gotta make sure that you actually have her arts prioritized for it (basically healing halo, the one that spawns potions, and the one that causes break) and make sure that whenever you get weapon points you always put points into whichever will reduce the cooldown for those. Another thing is, if you gotta use common blades for healing - just do it. It sucks because you don't have fancy rare blades getting wild and all that but heals are fukking heals and you can't do shyt dead.
I'm Chapter 7 right now (everyone knows this part knows I'm stretching this urgent 3 hour mission out for days ) and I'm still a bit unsure on my party comp
Fire and an arrow pointing down is their fire weakness. Its not that big of a deal early on. They can change mid-battle sometimes too.
Is that when you have to play without Pyra?
I had to switch Zeke out for Rex, I just can't use him without Pyra. Sucks cause it meant I couldn't reliably get the smash combo like I could with Rex & Pyra but Zeke's attacks do a ton of damage so he's still good to use
Thanks.Fire and an arrow pointing down is their fire weakness. Its not that big of a deal early on. They can change mid-battle sometimes too.
they told me '3 hours until the titan sinks' and i ain't looked at the main quest in two days lmao. i love how they don't shackle you to the plot and let you do whatever the fukk you want.
It'll be right up in their health bar next to their name on the right.Thanks.
But can you show me an example of that? Got a screenshot?
Does the arrow have to be there?
Okay thanks. It'll be right up in their health bar next to their name on the right.
I don't think it matters lol. Just go with the flow. If you're getting your shyt pushed in because you're too low of a level then just isolate the enemies you run into and grind your way up.Okay thanks.
Do you know anywhere where I can find a suggested level for each chapter?
Ok thanks.I don't think it matters lol. Just go with the flow. If you're getting your shyt pushed in because you're too low of a level then just isolate the enemies you run into and grind your way up.
Most of the story bosses are pretty straight forward, but they'll punish you if you're running bullshyt team/blade compositions.
If you explore even a little bit you're likely to be overleveled sooner rather than later. Around Chapter 4 is when I stopped using inns to boost my level entirely.
You break elemental orbs by using the opposite element during a chain attack.
When you do a combo between blades each combo is a 3 level thing. So say Rex does a fire attack first, now in the top right you'll see kind've a tree of branching paths for what elements you can do next and in what order. Once this combo is started you need to follow one of the paths on that tree.
When you do a combo between blades each combo is a 3 level thing. So say Rex does a fire attack first, now in the top right you'll see kind've a tree of branching paths for what elements you can do next and in what order. Once this combo is started you need to follow one of the paths on that tree.
So say in the top right after rex does a fire special you see one of the paths is earth and then ice. You will also see a seal written at the end of the path let's pretend it says Seal Shackle. If you successfully do the combo then you will seal that ability on the enemy.
But anyways you triggered a fire special with Rex. Now you've decided to follow the tree in the top right and do earth and ice next. Since Rex started the combo the next special needs to be at least level 2, and the final special at least level 3. You will know what level it is when the ZL, RL icons show up it will show a little white dot circling the characters picture. This way you can gauge how close they are to having the special ready.
So you trigger a fire special with Rex, you pick the path you want to follow, in this case earth then ice. So say after Rex Tora builds up to a level 2 special and you know because the ZL,RL trigger icons have appeared to make him use it. Next let's say Nia has the level 3 ice special, the final special in the combo (which will always be 3 specials in a row) and you know it's ready again because the ZL and RL icons appear only when it can be triggered. You'll know it's a level 3 special to end a combo because the cinema style black bars will appear and it will have some anime cutscene style attack instead of real time.
Now this is where orbs come into play. Whatever the final level 3 specials element is in a blade combo will leave an orb of that element on the boss. So in this example that would be ice. You will know because after the fact there will literally be an ice ball kind've circling the enemy. Now when you do a chain attack you will see what elemental orbs you have successfully landed on the enemy as well under his health bar. Now during the chain attack pick one of the orbs you want to burst and attack it with whatever would be opposite. Say fire to ice. If you do it correctly you can burst the orb before the chain attack ends. Then it will let you continue the chain attack. If you manage to get multiple elemental orbs on an enemy you can keep extending it if you successfully keep bursting orbs. This if timed and set up right will help you wipe out tough enemies.
This also encourages you to try and set your combos up in different orders. This is because once an elemental orb is on an enemy there can be no more of the same element. So say since ice is already on him we'd want to end our next combo with a different element, so we can stack as many orbs as possible for the chain attack.
Now there is more strategy to it than just that. Maybe the boss is weak to a particular element. Maybe the character you wanted to go second didn't get enough special in time so you have to start over. Maybe you already have an elemental orb of a certain element on the enemy but you still end your special with the same element because you need the seal it gives you.
I'm sorry if this confused you, it's just kind've complicated but when you get it it's not so bad and a ton of fun. Eventually you'll be manipulating the shyt out of the system, hence how I beat the last boss 10 levels under what I should've been. The game is wide open to strategy. If I worded anything confusing shoot me a message and I'll try and clarify.
Thanks.@42 Monks just do the story quest
The game changes completely after chapter 7. I've been hinting at it but party composition and blade choice becomes a lot more interesting.
You break elemental orbs by using the opposite element during a chain attack.
The elements are
Fire/Water
Ice/Wind
Earth/Electric
Light/Dark
The goal is to put as many orbs as you can with blade combos and then start a chain attack and burst them one by one to keep the chain attack going for several rounds. I landed a 5.5mil damage chain attack earlier today on a unique monster by putting 6 different orbs on him and then bursting them one by one.
I still lost that fight though
