That’s not what the link says at all.

I think y’all all dumb :snoop:
That's exactly what the link says

:stopitslime:

"Microsoft has confirmed with us that when playing backwards compatible titles, the Xbox Series S won’t apply any Xbox One X-centric enhancements."

"the Xbox Series S runs the Xbox One S version of backward compatible games while applying improved texture filtering, higher and more consistent frame rates, faster load times and Auto HDR.”

It's not as powerful as the series x but its alot more powerful than the one x going by the specs.

It's just strange that they are saying that the series s will be running enhanced versions of the base xbox 1 when it should be powerful enough to run one x enhancements.

I understand that this wont be running next gen games at the fidelity of the series x, but its strange that it likely wont outperform the one x with last generation games. Its certainly capable of doing that, so what's the problem?

:patrice:
compared to the 1X, the Series S has a much better CPU, plus the SSD. so the Series S can have better framerates, and faster load times. but the X1 still has a more powerful GPU than the Series S, so the Series S won't be able to pull off the same resolution enhancements

the 1X was meant to be a 4k console (although it didn't always hit that resolution). the Series S is targeting 1440p

XB1s run at 900p. Any BC games will run at that resolution. If you want 4k resolution you're gonna have to buy the XB1X (if you can find one) or a XSX. That's all.

Like what are you even trying to diss here?

Sony stans crazy :mjlol:

The only thing it doesn't have is 4k resolution but that's expected for a console specifically built to target people who don't give shyt about 4k.

Well obviously it’s not as powerful as the X.

This is like a thread titled “OMG PS5 digital version won’t be able to play discs”

Do better Sony stan breh :mjlol:
So the new $299 system is weaker than the other $299 system that was available all year, and was even $199 for a while?

Xbox One X $199 50% off

But but but RDNA2!!! These teraflops are more John Blaze than those terfalops!!! @DPresidential

So a 4TF RDNA2 GPU will be capped at the resolution of a 1TF console?

X1X console had games with an additional 4k content.

It is common sense that the Series S wouldn't use the 4k enhancements.

What will happen is the series S will play bc games well without that additional enhancement pack that the 1x used.

People aren't understanding that the games will play like how they did on the 1x before dedicated enhancements... They played better and smoother.

Lol at brehs really wanting this to be bad news
