I do think sales don't really mean much anymore. We're almost 3 full years into the process, with the massive lead PS4 had, they're not convincing people to buy those consoles anymore. But Microsoft is riding a good wave right now and Sony isn't.

At the end of the last Gen Sony rode that good wave they had at the end of the Gen into momentum for this Gen.

Microsoft could very well do the same if they play their cards right.

Sony has at this point sold an estimated two times the number of Xbox Ones sold. The positions are set. Them outselling Sony a couple months in the US isn't gonna make up the battering they took for years worldwide.
