you still need the actual game to play it. I understand the activation. You're not playing the game from the cloud.

Nope the disc is only an activation code for quick installs, once you install the disc the game uploads into the cloud like DD games. you can go to your friends house and download the game there using your profile oooor by using the disc to pay.

the disc can be sold at gamestop but you'll lose your cloud save. we can also sell our DD online on our xbox

trust me this is how it'll go.

I really thought you nikkas was trolling until I read through this thread. They really fukked they money up by not understanding their audience. Gamers borrow games from each other all of the damn time. MS fukked up by trying to treat games as if they're copies of MS Office or Windows.

I stayed having some sort of combination of Nintendo's system and PS/Xbox. This round is going to PS again unless they got some sort of fukked up plan too. I can always just play SNES on an emulator.

This ain't a PC. You would buy their specific hardware to play their specific software. It shouldn't involve this many hurdles. Maybe one of you cats can answer this question, was MS and Sony getting fukked with traded games/pirated games so badly they had to resort to this? Always validating? Mandatory kinect scanning the room? Not allowing friends to borrow games?

Nah these companies are just money hungry and have no problem fukking over the consumers in the process. If Sony pulls a system wide feature like this I'll call their ass out for it too.

The bits are on your hard drive. At the end of the play session, when I take my disc home - or even if I leave it with you - if you want to continue to play that game [on your profile] then you have to pay for it.

Welp, it's official. Muthafukk an Xbox. I'm finishing off my 360, then it's 4cepts all day :win:

I think it hurt the actual gaming companies, not Microsoft or Sony. Basically it made companies less likely to pump money into new franchises or exclusives because people would wait to buy it used or buy it when price drops due to trying to compete with the used games being sold.

There were a lot of scenarios where you could find games sold new for 30-45 bucks within a month or two to compete with that.

Plus the amount of money GameStop would give you for the game and then sell it for three times that amount is fukked up.
