Nope the disc is only an activation code for quick installs, once you install the disc the game uploads into the cloud like DD games. you can go to your friends house and download the game there using your profile oooor by using the disc to pay.

the disc can be sold at gamestop but you'll lose your cloud save. we can also sell our DD online on our xbox

trust me this is how it'll go.

uploading your entire game to the cloud huh...you sure? waiting for the game to download at friend's house and activating under your profile before yall can play sounds like overkill.

This may have already been said in here but it needs to be reiterated.

Yall need to do the math here.

EA announced they were ending their online pass program last week and now we find out they no longer needed it because the XB1 would have a method for them to end used game sales. EA has announced they have no games planned for the Wii U, which currently has no used game blocking measures. Do you really think they wont also block used games on the Sony console?

Honestly im not sold on any of these new systems though. Neither of these units are touching my current gaming pc setup. I'll likely pass on both of them for the time being. But LMAO at anyone thinking the Xbox one isn't going to move serious units....

I'm a little lost on this whole used game thing...if it truly is designed so that each game is locked to a specific profile, then MS REALLY screwed the pooch on this one.

I've got 3 xbox 360's in my house...my kids play games on any of the 3 at any given time. So if they both want to play a game that I've bought (new OR used), I'll have to buy a 'license' for the 2nd kid to play. Right??

And for those of you who have said that game sharing is a non-issue, my kids share games with their friends all the time...so if all that's being said is true, they won't be doing that anymore either, right??

I can't see this working for MS...they really are going to need to reevaluate this before launch.

Yeah i agree its fukked up. However i'm fairly certain the PS4 will incorporate some some of wonky DRM scheme like the Xbox will be doing. Used game sales are a multibillion dollar business, something that both Sony and Xbox want a piece of. I'm sure you'll be able to share games under the same account, however the traditional way of trading games will likely be no more. if they go the steam route, where you can download games for cheap assuming you have the license for the game might be a better overall system though.

You will be in for a rude awakening when you realize your ps4 games will function in a similar manor. Publishers like parity in the games they put out. EA isn't going to release battlefield on one platform with a bunch of fees and "solutions" and not have the same things on other platforms.
