In all honesty, this console, and most of the consoles going forward arent for you nerds who own more then 5 games in your collection. You nikkas are going to buy either console regardless

The majority of the market plays or owns only one or two games,i.e. CoD, Halo, Madden/NBA2k, etc. They have some convincing for this group, but its somewhat of an easier sell.

The biggest and most untapped market is the casual gamers, which is why wii is still . MSFT is taking it another step forward, making it your entire entertainment system, meaning you can basically all your other products in your living room. Making the Xbox synonymous with entertainment rather than gaming, a more lucrative goal.

PS is trying to do the same thing, so dont front. Gaming sales have been for a minute folks. And lets be real, msft online capabilities have been shytting on PS for awhile now, at least here in the states.

Xbox One’s live TV fucntionality will only be available in the US at launch, a press release from Microsoft has confirmed.

In a release sent to VG247 this evening confirms that Live TV with Kinect navigation, Live TV with One Guide, Trending, and NFL on Xbox will only be available in North America at launch. The release added that Microsoft anticipates a global roll-out over time.

As shown in the Microsoft reveal stream, and confirmed in the release, “Live TV will require a supported receiver device with HDMI output,” which is sold separately.

The release describes Xbox One’s TV functions as follows, “Navigate and watch live TV from your cable, telco or satellite set-top box through your Xbox One. Microsoft is committed to bringing live TV through various solutions to all the markets where Xbox One will be available”.

The paragraph is littered with footnotes that confirm the US-only launch for the features, and reiterates the need for a second device.

Nerds like yourself, who use video game's in their avi's, are going to buy an xbox or ps regardless. Some will maybe migrate to strictly PC, but that will be a extremely small minority.

So, tell me, why should they sit here and try to appease some PS stans to make the move? In fact, It would make them unprofitable doing so, so why not go for a much easier and newer target market.

And people, PS and Xbox are going to be here for awhile, both systems. But if I had to guess which one could pull the fatal blow one of these years(decades)- definitely would be MSFT. Sony has no where near the amount of cash on its balance sheet to keep up.
