Xbox, Nintendo, and Sony Won't Be Part of E3 2023

Awful news. The industry's collective move away from E3 in favor of shytty wannabe Direct presentations and garbage ass Geoff Cacley hosted "eVeNtS" been one its stupidest and lamest decisions the past couple of years.

At the end of the day most people just want hype game reveals. They don’t want all the goofy stuff in between, never have
Yet that's all you get with these dumb 15-40 min digital events.
And don't even start on everything Geoff does, it's more of a AD than an event.
At least E3 didn't feel like a big YouTube AD

Naw Nintendo directs and Sonys events are straight to the point to the point where Microsoft is even doing it now with developer directs which people liked.
People don’t want to hear from suits talking that company culture bs. Or celebrities acting like goofballs.
Just. Games.
Wasn't a big part of E3 is meeting with other devs? Seems like not a good thing to lose a networking event. Plus, it was a good way to showcase games rather than having everything spread out through the summer

There are industry events every month. GDC was just last week. There’s no shortage of networking events, even this summer they will be having events all week long.
To the end user it makes no difference whether e3 is around or not. The 3 platform showcase was dead before E3 was

E3 would have been 2 months away and for sure would have had all info dropped before at are around it regardless if a company attended.
GL now, no telling what, when or how much Info you'll get at the next one.

This is just useless flailing, sony stopped attending E3 4 years ago, and Nintendo haven’t done a live event since even before that. That didn’t change last year, E3 was never going to get Nintendo and Sony back on a stage.
They’ll both show games when they’re ready, which is far better than seeing spider-man, tsushima, etc. for 3 years in a row because they felt obligated to be there.

True, but I think it still gave a chance for dev teams of all size to network I feel as a viewer it was better to have everything shown in one week rather than spread throughout the summer. Plus, I don't like how Geoff is trying to takeover since he seems annoying

Geoff is a good guy, he’s passionate about games. If he didn’t take over we’d have nothing during the summer or winter
