So what's the point?

RIP
Award shows, gaming news, show's and developer spot lights have been amazing since E3 has been on life support right?
I don't even remember what games were teased tbh.Last game awards was dope

All I know is E3 dying isn't really a good thing. Just means less gaming news and big events for gamers.
Summer of games is super mid and the game awards trying to be an award show and E3 event isn't doing it particularly well.
And these small web shows we get from Nintendo, ps and Xbox are stuff we were getting anyway.
I guessWe get the same amount of news and reveals, the only thing thats changed is the logo in the corner. Nintendo and Sony were already doing VODs of their showcases for years so that was never gonna change. Every other publisher is just following suit but they’re all gonna be in LA that week doing the same thing they usually do.
June 8 - Summer Games Fest
June 11 - Microsoft's Showcase + Starfield Direct
June 12 - Ubisoft Forward
June 13-16 - E3 2023
If there is any reason why we aren’t getting as many game announcements its because the industry in general is changing. Focus on crunch culture, shorter reveal to launch times, longer development cycles, less spend on marketing, etc.
I guess
All I know is for a week I got major gaming news from and trailers from all the big dogs every summer because of E3
Now I won't.
Instead we get a bunch of cringe moments at the game awards, about who won TGANow we don’t gotta see a bunch of cringe opinions about “who won E3”
