Days of Future Past changed history so people know about mutants earlier than they did pre-DoFP but yeah this takes place before X1.

And it also turned Raven into a human loving hero instead of a villian :

X-Men was always my favorite growing up, I'm excited to see the movie and liked the final trailer.

All this complaining about timelines and shifts of alliances etc. None of this is new for the x men franchise. Time change is a huge part of the franchise and will always be. Good guys become bad guys, bad guys become good guys or die and become martyrs. It's a very fluid timeline and it's the beauty of it on the screen
