The two things I am curious about is, when Vince dies, who will be the controlling interest for the family. THAT is when you get in a situation where if things get dicey, the demand for a new CEO comes along. I would assume some combination of Linda,Steph and Shane would own all Vince's shares? Makes me wonder if that becomes a mess and here comes Shane with CEO EXPERIENCE IN ANOTHER COMPANY ridin in on horse like Eastwood in a western and taking the reigns....so to speak.

If things got pretty bad and Vince wasn't there, it would be kind of funny in a bad way to see some CEO of a shoe company or something be put in....never watched a day of rasslin in his life.

2nd question is....if they burn through that cash in 3 years and the network is still sucking up money....what will they do? They killed their own PPV biz. They should have copied Dana White and UFC.....their streaming service is already at the break even point according to Meltzer because they didn't put their core PPVs on it.

To me what made sense was to cut traditional PPVs down to 6 or 8, and put the other 6 or 4 on the network, but keep Mania, Rumble, SS and 3-5 others traditional. Let the PPV biz roll down the hill on its own and keep taking the money as long as you can...there was no reason to hit the gas pedal...just coast down.

Vince risked everything he owned on the gamble of Wrestlemania 1 and it worked, then he was in the vicinity of being put out of business by WCW and came out on top.....this is his third and last mountain to climb.

Daddy Carter didn't want to put his a ton of his money in this game and I can see why.

They turned a profit after their quarterly. They aren't going out of business. Buy low. I bought low. It's up a buck since I got it, so if it starts tanking I can get out with my shirt.

If you sell a stock before one year after buying it you get hit with Capital gains tax.

Young Simba needs to make a return. He was the architect behind the WWEs world wide expansion in the late 90s thru 2000s . With that experience he went to China and started a highly successful VoD service so he can be highly valuable on turning the Network from a money sink to a profitable project.

He is the rightful heir. :mjcry:

The hero we need.:mjcry:

Here comes the money :wow:

Who let Russo in? :merchant: I was with you till this.

:camby:
WWE changed their plans last year to appeal to the goatface neckbeards. Those people did not buy the network or cancelled it soon as Bryan was legitimately injured. fukk them, him, and any smark who doesn't like it. They need to go.

This company had to switch plans from having the belt on one of the leading actors from last years film of the year, for bingo hall Daniel Bryan.

:heh: GTFO

:what: So because a top star is out and as a result of a legit injury and you can see his impact of his absence in network numbers, he's a hinderance rather than a reliability? :mindblown:

And please spare me any fukking association of Batista being the leading actor in Guardians :pachaha: That was Chris Pratt and an ensemble movie. Half the reason Batista got the lukewarm reception he did was not just because of Bryan but because he's Batista, a bore at best. This continued fixation people have compare him to The Rock in any way is mind boggling.

Least we forget the loss of interest in Wrestling has been a slow burn effect rather than immediate over a decade and it probably didn't help that Rock, Hogan and Austin all more or less left and stopping dong full time runs and the company had to then rely on that rookie class of Orton, Cena, Batista from 02 whom all became some of the most boring main event guys to develop out (save for a Thuganomics era here or an RKO meme there). Guys like Punk and D-Bry at least made shyt interesting and had people talking.

If you aint got them Rock and Hogan big man charisma then :camby:on big dudes like Roman with no range.

Do you really want WM going off the air with people booing? I get what you are saying but the die hard/smarks are the ones showing up at the big PPVs. Not a good look to have the crowd shytting on the product at the biggest show of the year

And they are probably the ones subscribing to the Network, cause a large portion of casual fans that watch their show every week don't even want the Network for free right now. I don't think catering to them is the problem at all, the problem is that the presentation and booking of the show is just terrible.

Edit: Also, how ridiculous is it that we're arguing about a TV show catering to their audience? :dead:
