Since you're good at finding links, would you mind posting a link with the first episode of this? @mrken12
:feedme:

I tried watching this last night after Takeover while I was chilling with my homie but he wouldn't shut the fukk up.

Episode 2 out now. 100% John Cena in this episode.

If Stephanie McMahon wasn't on that bus, Cena would have been canned :ohhh:
I had heard Bruce Pritchard say on his podcast that the office had given up on Cena. I didn't know he had been told he was going to cut. Makes you wonder how many other potential superstars got cut simply because they gave up on them too quick.

I also wish they named names on who was going to Big Show telling him no to let Cena beat him. I'm sure we all have our guesses on who'd try to play politics trying to keep down an up and coming threat.

Crazy that Cena was finna get cut initially if not for Stephanie, and people were super jealous backstage once he found his groove. I wonder who the jealous ones were

Anyone else notice that damn near only time Jericho is on screen is when he’s getting hoed by someone :russ: (Episode 1: HHH vs Jericho finish, this episode: Cena smacking the shyt out of him, and a Highlight Reel segment)

All i can think of is why did they feel the need to rush everything with gaining all those WCW guys. If you had the mindset that the WWE audience didn’t know the WCW guys, why rush all of them to tv for an invasion?

Why not slowly integrate them and build them into being familiar. There was literally no need to rush

All they had to do was wait a year and they could’ve done it right since they had the bigger names of WCW and had Bischoff. That or slow burn the story until all those AOL Time Warner contracts expired and those stars made their way finally

Invasion is the biggest wasted potential story. Funny thing is Invasion PPV still holds the record to this day of highest non-Mania PPV buyrate

Sidebar:

Was listening to grilling jr podcast at work last night. When The Rock contract was expiring and he just wanted a reduced schedule but still be in the WWE he was tryna put together a match against Sting at WM.

And WWE in their infinite wisdom just let it expire on some petty shyt :mindblown:

peeped the first episode last night and it was cool for what it was

the whole "Get The F Out" thing was definitely romanticized, they acted like that was what got things popping but i remember everybody hated it at the time and thought the name change was garbage

the botched Invasion was Cokeboy's fault he rushed the whole thing to gloat rather than just waiting it out

Stone Cold walking out was also Cokeboy's fault and that promo about him needing to apologize to the locker room was embarrassing

they lucky as hell that OVW class came in at the time it did cause it seems like Cokeboy would've rather let WWE die than push anybody from a different company

The 718
Babyface rapping Cena is so :huhldup::huhldup::huhldup::huhldup: in hindsight. I don't get how anybody older than 12 was gonna rock with that.

The gimmick is so inherently lame - white boy from the burbs busting silly raps - that it's hard to stomach once it's stripped of all the irony.

I love grumpy ass JR's podcast. Especially cause he don't mind calling out racism when he sees it. He talked about it racism being the reason Muta wouldn't get pushed as a top face (especially after Sting's injury when they badly needed one), and with Butch Reed in WCW.
