I completely skipped this era

I remember Brock Lesnar (YAWN) had been around for like two months and then they went from WWF to WWE....Spring 2002 I was done until 2012 when I started watching again

You actually missed a good amount of gems during that period (but fortunately you missed an outrageous amount of trash)

Didn't know the draft was unscripted and the main talent had no idea they'd be picked :ohhh:
Imagine the stress on the talent

So this was his legit reaction?

:laff:

I was surprised at their degree of honesty that the Invasion was bad. I thought they were gonna spin it somehow.

Them being as candid as they were about how unprepared they were for Rock going to Hollywood was surprising as well.(I thought they were gonna somehow spin that too)

Stone Cold admitting his self destruction around that time period and talking about balking at the proposed Lesnar KOR qualifying match and the roles they played in him walking out :wow:

I'm sure they won't go into detail on the exact thing Stone Cold was abusing at the time, but it was coke. That also helped contribute to his paranoia about Vince trying to fukk him over.
How you know? i always wondered. He mentions having demons around this time but never went into detail over the years. I always assumed he was on steroids really bad. He's considerably bigger in 02'-03'.

Ehhh I'd imagine certain people knew they were going or they at least told guys how to react depending on their pick. Undertaker was in the angle with HHH so of course he would've wanted to be on HHH's show.
Prichard said it was only like 2 top stars who knew 100% where they were going. I feel like Rock and Hogan were the two cause Stone Cold’s draft story was “where is free agent Stone Cold gonna sign?” And HHH was Undisputed Champ, so he was doing both shows till he dropped the title

I’d imagine politician Hogan would want that info off bat for reasons

Having just watched this tonight, I had some thoughts:
  • I was really :aicmon: at them starting this shyt off with ANOTHER Monday Night Wars recap. Atleast they summed it up quickly.
  • Hearing this level of honesty from the company in a documentary is refreshing. I never expected them to openly shyt on the inVasion angle. Buff catching strays :heh:
  • Not being able to have Jericho involved in this kinda sucks, he was one of the biggest stars of that era
  • I felt like they downplayed the Rock leaving to an extent
  • They really acted like the name change was intentional and wasn’t Panda making them fall back :dead:
  • Using Cena’s debut as the lead-in to the next episode was a nice touch :ehh:
