Did I say they should? I'm just saying he was a factor of that era and you can't erase that.

So say what you suggested happened.

Are they going to remove all traces of his records, his championships from history?
They could if they wanted to and a lot of people wouldn't have a problem with it considering the circumstances, just like a lot of us don't care about Benoit's "records" not being mentioned anymore.

I stopped watching wrestling before this started so I pretty much missed this whole era.
Same for the most part. I did see a few ppvs like the one with Trump and I think a few others but didn't get back into it until I think Raw after Summerslam 2012. Crazy how time has flown by since I got back into it. Wanna go back and check out some of what I missed someday.

I don't remember exactly when I stopped. I started watching again after The Shield debuted. I would watch a Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania occasionally.

Yeah same. My high school buddy who I became cool with cuz of discussing wrestling, used to go to some bar that showed ppvs so I would go with him. This was around college days in like maybe 04 to 06. I think the shield came shortly after I got back in it. And that's just cuz my good childhood friend told me the rock was back so I had to check that out.

Era I mostly grew up on even though I saw most and remember the big moments in Attitude Era till the Invasion. Missed that whole storyline and more I believe due to typical kid shyt that caused me to completely forget about it. Got back into wrestling at the right time tho thanks to a classmate and his brother telling me about certain stuff that went on or was going on. Had me like :ohhh::wow:

Attitude Era has the better moments, Ruthless Aggression Era had the better wrestling. Smackdown was killing Raw in quality from top to bottom, then of course Vince had to take the reins from Heyman.

You know @Reality Check we mentioned in another topic how different things would’ve been if Brock Lesnar had stuck around, I’ve mentioned in this topic how WWE had started to rely heavily on nostalgia in this time period, I wondered how related both those ideas are :ehh: it started with One Night Stand in 05, continued with the second event the next year and the relaunch, the DX reunion, etc.

I actually missed this entire era and the Smackdown 6 stuff. Took a break pretty much from the end of the AE up until Punk's pipebomb. Only briefly checked in a few months prior for the HBK/Bret reunion.
