I think they were cautious in the beginning, but after the first year they saw what AEW is all about, they decided to offload all those contracts. AEW can grow nationally, but that WWE name is global and until they feel threatened there or AEW is signing billions dollar network deals, Vince is just going to do his own thing :manny:

I wonder how these people get paid bcuz there’s no way they getting paid to chill in catering they have more people than raw and smack down together

there’s no way they getn checks to wrestle once every 8 weeks

They have different contract tiers. Like all the random appearance wrestlers get paid like a certain amount to appear for that one time or whatever it is. And then as you go up the card, the pay increases, from the mid card guys up to the main event. All the roster including the random AEW Dark people aren't there every week getting paid. Plus they can pay people less than WWE cuz it's less shows and I believe less touring.

Good point. Wwe has the longevity factor and tours worldwide so their marketing game is on point. Plus they have a diverse group of employees. Shows broadcast all over the world in different languages. AEW is mainly only white English folks so I don't think they're broadcast or appeal much to an international non English speaking audience. And marketing is important too. They starting to get into the action figure and video game industry which wwe has been in for years. Those type of things take time to develop and establish a strong position in, plus consistency. They need to work on one thing at a time while they're still young and then venture into new ideas after. To compete with wwe they need to get more experience, and they will over time.

Hard-core wrestling marks lol

50 year old Jericho in death matches shouldn't be main eventing any show lol
Oh it's even worse than that.

Nick Gage is a garbage wrestling has been who's job was to cut people in front of 150 rednecks that come to watch that freak show. Seeing one of the best wrestlers of the 90s and 00s Chris Jericho willingly go up against a legit psychopath is one of the lowest moments from the recent professional wrestling years :scust:

The way the company is making money right now (being paid in advance) I don’t think they care.

And honestly, the WWE can always make a new star. But AEW will always have a hard time doing so (at least for now)

The wrestling isn’t nearly as crisp from those young AEW cats, and the biggest draws are still the transplants.

crazy because I wanna like the product more than I do, but they need to a better job of hiding their flaws.

The highest rated segment last week was Cowboy and them vs. The Elite... not the Ex-WWE talent. Not that it really matters who the draws are.
