Wade is still a great player but long term he isn't the future going forward and giving him so much money hamstring the team going forward. SVG said the same thing about coaching from his time dealing with Shaq in Miami. Wade wants to be looked at as the long term future and first priority, but he's 7 years older than Whiteside. That's not practical. Paid what he's asking over a 2 year span might be though.

With 20 mill left in the cap room, I'd resigned TJ and move Richardson to starting line-up and resigned Green and pick up some D-leaguers for a one year deal. Pat should take the cheap route. I wouldn't waste my time trying to sign any role players from the NBA. Go cheap and wait for the cap to rise up.

If we lose Wade, I say we trade Dragic too and just go all in on the rebuild. Look for young role players and then make a move for Westnrook in 2017. I think he'd like playing with Whiteside, Richardson, and Winslow.
