Not sure what ya'll cap space looking like overall...but is this all about them avoiding the luxury tax? Could they get this done IF they REALLY wanted to?

Dudes really think Wade is dumb. If Riley was pursuing Durant as hard as he says while immediately giving Whiteside his max, what was supposed to happen with the two Heat-lifers like Udonis and Wade? They were supposed to just take the scraps if Durant signed or sign another "one year contract" if Durant planned on coming next year so they'd have flexibility?

The writing was on the wall that Wade's money was gonna be the first to be sacrificed for a dude that was throwing shots at Wade back in 2013 so he feels completely disrespected.

Everyone keeps forgetting last off season Pat went at Wade in the exit interview telling Wade he better lose weight. That he has to change the narrative about him because of the last few years him always being injury. That he has to change his body. How to handle playing hurt an playing injured.

Wade did that he played in 74 games. He played thru lil ache and pains that years before he would of sat out for rest. He did everything Pat told him to do then he bam this is how he gets treated so yea i can see why Wade people are annoyed. I get called out by Pat i answer his challenge an then i get lowballed an ignored..

Saw this on facebook

You swore allegiance to House of Wade, Lord Riley. But in his hour of greatest need, you refuse the call. And you, Lord Spoelstra, watched on as you got out coached by Dwane Casey, still, you refuse the call. But House Mormont remembers. The South remembers. We know no king but the King in the South whose name is Wade. I don’t care if he’s older and wants more money. A three time champ's blood runs through his veins. He’s my king, from this day until his last day!”

Doesn't matter if he benefitted somewhat, it's not something that many players would do. After he brought Miami a championship, he did everything he could to try to help the Miami Heat make big splashes with the belief that Miami had his back.

Miami benefitted more than anyone. You don't think it's weird that Bosh has received more money than Wade from Miami with his last contract alone?

Treating your franchise legend like a third option fukkbuddy while you chase every other better looking prospect is a slap in the face.
Bosh hasn't received more than Wade has in one contract, what are you talking about? Wade has made over 150 million in his career

lets be clear Wade gave up less money in 2010 to play with Lebron. he could have said in 2010 that he wanted a full max contract and the heat would have given it to him.
the definition of the word sacrifice is an act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important or worthy

if Wade made a "sacrifice" by taking less it was because he deemed Rings more important. so why keep bringing it up?
when the media/people continuously brings up Wade "sacrificing" money they do so as if he did it in the name of charity
he didn't. he got something back for it. he got to play with his friends Lebron, Bosh, & UD. and he got to win rings

he said after the 2010 Boston 1 rd loss that was the last time he was losing in the 1st rd. He wanted to put together the greatest team possible. HE benefited from that just as much as the organization did and just as much as UD did.
HE deemed those things as more important than the money. so don't bring up him "sacrificing" like he gave away money to charity. this was a BUSINESS decision by Wade.

so don't bring that shyt up anymore. otherwise your sacrifice was a fraud.

now I do agree that Riley fukked up by making Durant a priority over Wade. it was stupid. especially if he and wade weren't on the same page. how in the world after what happened last year they didn't have a plan that both sides agreed to I will never know.'

if they came to an understanding that they were gonna try to sign durant and still take care of wade and now wade is mad...then thats on him. if there was never that understanding, then riley is tripping.

I hope Wade goes to Chicago. If he doesn't end up with usome

I feel like DWade being a hoe about it.

He BEEN knew we had to keep Hassan and he was gonna get the max.

He BEEN knew we were going after Durant and he was gonna get big money

He BEEN knew that the team was gonna give him the best deal possible with what was left .

Well, nikka. We got $20M left. You want it or nah?

Riley is the hoe. He didn't have the foresight to plan ahead and prepare to take care of your superstar? People pay money to see Wade, not Riley.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
Just to be on Pat's side:

One could say that Wade betrayed him. Yeah he's taking less now, but when Wade is finally washed up and not a main piece Pat could still give him a contract to sit on the bench.

Maybe Pat thought that he and Wade were on the same side as far as loyalty to the team and each other. Wade just wants to get paid the most money possible not caring about the well being of the franchise he helped become one of the greatest in the league

That's what it feels like. I hate to be "that fan", but if I've made over $150 million in salary, have my health, have my wife, have my kids, live in a great state to live with lots to do, no income tax, a fanbase that's always seen me as number 1, an organization that is protective of their guys, and have an offer worth $40 million on the table, I don't mind taking that. He's gonna have a comfortable job in the organization or on tv waiting when he hangs his sneakers up, so it's not like he's gonna be cash strapped. I like being paid well, and winning. $20 million a year is more than I would know what to do with, and this franchise isn't ever gonna kick Wade to the curb. Both need to stop bickering and hammer out a compromise, because this isn't a good look for anyone.

it was the initial offer that pissed wade off. they pretty much offered this dude Delladova money. it don't matter if 20 mil was great before, it's not anymore. fukkin Ryan Anderson got 20 mil per. the market is different now wether riley likes it or not. he should have prepared for this but nah... he expected wade to give him another discount. Riley is just taking advantage now and wade is fed up.
