If he leaves, we may as well start the tankwave to clear cap space. No picks, no center, likely to lose Deng, Wade going on 35, Bosh is probably done, apparently Johnson is gonna get $10 million a season so he's gone. This could get really bad the next few years :francis:. Spo had to treat this guy like a scrub for two years :beli:

Edit: it just hit me that if he leaves and we don't get KD, our best course of action may be to copy what the Knicks did from 2007-10 when they were hoping to add LeBron :sadcam:

#TankWave we back :wow: :blessed:

Side note I know Whiteside and Spo had some issues, but why go to Dallas if the money is the same? Dallas is about to be bad, at least he can be competitive in Miami. If it's about winning, Whiteside should go to the Spurs or play with the Lakers.

Our best young guy averaged less than 7 points and less than 2 assists last year on a 42/27.5/68 shooting slash. If there's no bright young stars to work with, why would a free agent come here? So they could try to be 2007-10 Wade? He's the only option to be the team's cornerstone for the next 5 years unless Riley can get Kevin durant

You do know he was hurt basically since game 3 or 4 of the first round right? I'm assuming you didn't notice at all that good things happened all year offensively when he would touch the ball within the flow of the offense, while the team resembled a high school offense pretty regularly when the ball didn't go near him.
All ima say knowing our history only way we land in tank mode if alot of injuries happen again cause Riley always wanna win breh

Spurs yes. Lakers are coming off a 15 win season and 3 years straight have had the worst year in team history. Spurs would be a great fit for him n

Yeah Beasley turned him away from tanking single handedly. That means we would likely hand out a few more way oversized deals and it would bite us in the ass even worse. He really needs to come through this summer.

The Lakers may not be good next year, but they have two high ceiling prospects; cap space, and a promising young coach. It's not crazy to see D Russ show out next year; Lakers win 40 games, and be players for Durant in 2017(assuming he does a 1 yr deal).

Maybe, but these ain't the lakers of old. They'll have to prove themselves before most basketball fans should expect anything of them.

Whiteside is a turnover machine breh. His post game is slow and lumbering. There is no coach in his right mind going to run a play for the Whiteside we all saw in the playoffs.
Exactly. He's not a good post player and he's a black hole whenever he touches it. You guys are overrating him on offense. I'd obviously like to have him back due to what the alternatives are, but I trust Riley and the organization and if they don't think he's worth the max I'll trust them. Plus, if he goes to Dallas it shows where his priorities are at. Portland would be a different story.

So if he was hurt. Why are you blaming Spo for not running plays for him :stopitslime:

Please show video of him in the post. Not a put back, lob, or a 15 footer which I didn't mind him shooting.

Because when the ball consistently doesn't get near someone, the defense usually starts to realize it and doesn't bother guarding him. That leaves the other 4 guys to basically play short handed. The guy said a few months into the season as a matter of fact, that the team doesn't have any plays run for him at all. Are you trying to suggest they'd be better off without him, or that spo was doing a good job with him?

:francis::mjcry:Everything Cuban told DJ last year he is probably telling Whiteside now

This aint even about Spo its about the almighty dollar. At the end of the day nobody knows more about Whiteside than the Heat, they seen him day in and day out for almost 2 years, Cuban hasnt. If they aren't willing to give up a max for him there's a reason for it.
Cuban is always selling dreams but the grass isn't always greener and Rick Carlisle is the coach so at the end of the day he'll be the one directly impacting minutes and who gets plays run for them.

I want to keep Whiteside but if he goes it just wasn't meant to be. I think he's going to leave.
