No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
DISK 2
INTRO..

intro wont embed..

just listen to it. this shyt was made for the time. its the perfect set off for disc 2. wu forever sold 600k copies its first weak, same as BIG and PAC... wu was huge man. this was a statement right here

[RZA] (GZA)
Yo, yo one two one two, yo live in effect
We got the king Ruler Zig-Zag-Zag Allah
Commonly known to y'all as the RZA
Yo before we go into side two or side B of this double CD
Knahmsayin I want to give y'all a little announcement man
For the last year there's been a lot of music comin out
The shyt been weak, knowhatI'msayin?
A lot of nikkas trying to take hip-hop
And make that shyt R&B, rapping bullshyt yaknowhatI'msayin?
Or make that shyt funk
fukk that, this is MCin right here, this is hip-hop

Wu-Tang, Wu-Tang gonna bring it to you in the purest form
I got the GZA on my side, Killah Priest
Sunz of Man, Royal Fam, Killarmy, Gravediggaz, 12 O'Clock

Yo, we want to let y'all nikkas know somethin man
To my people all across the world; Japan, Europe -- knowhatI'msayin?
Canada, knowmean -- Austria, Germany, Sweden

Yo, this is true hip-hop you listenin to right here
In the pure form, this ain't no R&B with a wack nikka takin the loop
Be loopin that shyt thinkin it's gonna be the sound of the culture
YaknowhatI'msayin? (That player bullshyt)
YaknowhatI'msayin? All that player dressin up
On this shyt, actin like this some kind of fashion show man
YaknowhatI'msayin? This is hip-hop right here
YaknowhatI'msayin? This is lyrics, MCin

And yo, to y'all nikkas who think you going to become an MC overnight
YaknowhatI'msayin? Better snap out that fukkin dream
Man it takes years for this you Cat in the Hat ass rappers

You Dr. Seuss, Mother Goose, simple minded
(Stop runnin up on nikkas with all that wack shyt)
Word up man (talking bout "you MC")
You ain't no MC; nikkas ain't made for this yaknowhatI'msayin?

This shyt was Only Built 4 Cuban Linx -- we told y'all nikkas back then
And then everybody wanted to change their motherfukkin name
YaknowhatI'msayin? We come out with a style
Now everybody wanna imitate our style
and all you producers out there
YaknowhatI'msayin? It's all good to show love to a nikka
But stop bitin my shyt, yaknowhatI'msayin?
Come from your own heart with this shyt

And all y'all MC's, stop biting from my nikkas
We told ya'll nikkas on the fukking Cuban Linx album
Don't bite our shyt, y'all nikkas keep biting

Yo, I'm going to tell y'all something man
It's time for the Wu revolution right here
To all my nikkas across the world
Raise your motherfukking fist in the air
And get ready for the Triumph
Cause the Gods is here to take over this shyt
Word up, peace

RZA called out the game for biting him. wu tang were heads and shoulders above 90% of every hip hop act. no act was more artistic and held more weight.

leading into triumph which is a hell of a record. beat was crazy for the time, nothing sounded like it. it def fits the modl of the album. shyt was ridiccccc

deck, meth, ugod, rae gza ghost rza all really dropped great verses. i like cap and masta killa for diff reasons buit theres all perfect verses on that track. almost 6 min song wit no hook is the lead single top an album that sold 4x million copies, think about that for a minute.unheard of, will never happen again. beat is used for many cfreestyles too, still to this day as well.

This is crazy! I'm driving on a 8hr trip and I kidd you not I've been bumping this all day.

The intro on disc 2 with Rza talkimg that shyt is relevant today. I had a flash back to hanging with with my homies and when someone say something crazy or stupid I'd say " Naah Jamie don't start that shyt* like Ghostface on Impossible. :pachaha:

9/10 album.

In my top 15

#2 Wu group album

Btw they ahoulda took deadly melody out and added diesel. I think it was hidden on a soundtrack cause of dirtys subject matter

Rap burglars was a tight track too

Pit down the hammer and the chase were also cut from forever

Is there an OG version or compilation of this album somewhere?

Also I love Deadly Melody so I wouldn't wanna remove it

Just say you really like Wu Tang Forever cuz it is not better with Life After Death.
Go Track for Track if you want, it is not even close. Or as a complete cohesive project.

how is LAD more cohesive when it varies from dark and raw production to mainstream rnb/jiggy rap?

Diesel was on Soul In The Hole....2nd dopest soundtrack album ever to me after Murder was the Case

Forever is a classic to me....and one of the last great hiphop albums.

Favorite cut is The Projects.

This why what Puff Daddy did was genius. And influential.
He was able to mix Pop with Hardcore with all with the GOAT rapper over it who died a couple months before it's release.
The Ten Crack Commandments by itself kills Wu Tang Forever.
You really don't want to go Track for Track with LAD.

Puff Daddy wouldn't be a genius for that shyt, he was influential in a not so good way. He turned hip-hop more jiggy which made hip-hop as a genre way worse.

Lad was a classic album by the goat mc and it def could rival forever. It spawned the entire mainstream hip hop genre having a song of everything on an album

With that said, say thats a good thing?

Forever laid groundwork as well that was followed by mostly underground rappers. Forever is way more in sync

Classic album, got the limited edition vinyl of this shyt, 1 of 2000 that came out

the album blended really nice, minimalist and dull mood throughout, Rza did a sick job of creating an atmosphere across both disks.

RZA dropped one of the GOAT hip hop verses imo with impossible (dude sampled beethoven on this shyt :blessed:)

I still get chills down my spine when I hear the 2nd disk Intro
