I don't think that's fair. RZA and Divine WERE trying to school them on business but them nikkas was just too hard headed. In the unreleased GZA documentary you see Vine trying to explain to them that a manager who brokers deals for you has to get a cut. It's a standard in any field of business. You know what Ghost and Rae's response was? "Nah, nikka! We want our whole shyt!"
I honestly feel that RZA and Vine wasn't being as duplicitous as some of ya'll seem to think they were. They may not have been 100% transparent but they weren't being straight snakes like say a Puffy or Suge. The Wu members were just some wild, street nikkas that didn't wanna hear shyt about their money. Teaching a street dude 5% lessons and have them accept that may not be an issue because, at that time in NY anyways, 5 percenters were mostly street nikkas anyways that was fukking nikkas up, selling drugs, drinking and smoking...in and out of jail. Now teaching wild street nikkas standard business models is a WHOLE nother story. They were hustlers that were not used to having nikkas taking a cut of what they were making. And you can tell the shyt got way too exasperating for RZA and that's a big part of why he just released them.
