I haven't made it past the 3rd episode, not sure if I would.

This looks great, but I literally have no interest in most of what's covered. There's a million wu docus in youtube already, and I've already seen most of em. Also, when I watch hip hop documentaries, I'm waaay more interesting in the backstory/inspirations behind the makings of specific songs/album, and I felt this show was really lacking in that department. I really don't care about whatever hood they grew up in or what they mama think, no offense.

Director clarified that this doc wasnt about the music of the WU but about the members of the WU and their connection to one another.

Here's the thing? Is it therapy for them?

CilvaRingz is a liar tho. LOL First, they took footage of the Wu & Friends overseas tour, and made it seem like they spent a lot of time together. And they way they met was at a concert, but CilvaRingz ended up meeting RZA's mom and harassed her and him for months, until she convinced RZA to give him a shot, because he was so persistent. Then he had beef with KP over more ish he lied about.

But I wonder what they think about the other "Wu-Tang" Compilations? Chamber Music was done the same way, and so was Legendary Weapons, and Da Saga Continues. Is CIlvaRingz still a KillaBee? I haven't been to Wu-Tang Corp in some time.

He use to also hang around wu tang offices in the city stalking them lol

I would highly suggest you not watch the rest. It's more of the same stuff you aren't interested in.

Honestly, outside of episode 3 with all the focus on ODB, which made me realize how much I really miss him, this documentary wasn't that great. Them not focusing on the first wave of solo albums at all yet giving fukkin cilvaringz all that screen time was just unforgivable.

RIP ODB

I understand why Ghost said that as it sounds like the radio station was basically forcing them to attend Summer Jam.

I didn’t understand why they didn’t want to finish the Rage tour either.

For now long did hot 97 not play any wu tang for? I don't really recall how long that went on for.

Here is a bit of info i know factually...ghost didnt just say fukk hot97. Some staff member at summer jam got a beat down.

Reason they stopped, they said its too many white people they dont wanna perform for lol.

They were getting tired of Rza's vision/leadership. Its like when the coach loses the locker room, they were not into listening to RZA and Divine

Looking back at it, I don't blame them for not continuing the rage tour. They were starting to enter that "rap group white people who don't listen to rap like" category with that shyt. They were starting to lose their core fanbase with that type of shyt. RZA is a smart guy, but his decision making is questionable at times.

Divine was too money hungry :mjlol: Should have let them out to do things on their own but he ain't want to give up those residuals he was getting.

ODB really got messed up in jail! :mjcry:What did he go in for anyway? Also why did his mother get him that clueless ass manager?

Still they needed the station, he could have just played their game and they should have explained that to him but at the same time maybe they tried to lol.

Hell no, they need those kind of fans if they were going to make any real money. Sure they should stay true to themselves and always kept their hardcore fans into consideration but as an artist who is in the music business, it's about the business. You have to branch out and grow if you are going to make money.

Of course you need white fans but that doesn't mean you have to go on tour with a fukkin rock group. They were starting to crossover into some different shyt than what they were really about.

Random thought: why did it seem like in this doc ghost and Rae weren't really cool with each other like they used to be?

Ghost really just seemed off, period.
