listening to it again now and theres a lot to like but theres just so much little shyt that stop's me from enjoying the album as much as i would like to.

am i the only one that feels the chant hooks just don't work now ?
like on Hold The Heater and Crushed Ego's that beats are snapping in the right way and the verses are dope but the hooks just leaves me...

:scust:

especially on Hold The Heater, it feels like someone did it and just decided to cut and paste in between the verses to make it a song.
and the thing is, those are two of the easiest hooks to digest.

i can respect the concept of what they were trying to do on certain songs but they just didn't connect with me.
also have no problem with any of the rappers on it..all of them sound like they wanted to make the album and it doesn't sound at all as if they are mailing it in.. Ghost who even though he's still consistent with his verse sounds a little tired/worn out with certain ones.

ifyou can look beyond certain stuff, this should please you or at least exceed the expectations you had for it but for me, like i said.. i like a lot about it, i'm glad they decided to have another go at an album but i can't get immersed in the album.

i can't see myself listening to it regularly.

sounds like 50 year old men from thr early 90s trying to rap in 2014, ol' im makin a comeback this year 50 the new 20 ass rappity rappin ass rappers FOH

outta shape 'n' ailing :flabbynsick:

This is why your favorite rappers from years ago dont like putting out new music, the so called fans dont seem to ever appreciate it like they did years ago.. yall should have known there was a reason its been over ten years since the last group album, shyt aside from rae and ghost they aint even put out solo work.. it really aint fair to expect mid 90's wu tang in 2014

It feels like that these nikkas are doing this for the check. They aren't in that same creative space as they were back in the day and its clear that the chemistry isn't intact. For Reunions to work. The parties have to REALLY want this. This is why I use Da Mafia Six's album last year as a example, The guys were ready to make it happen all and agreed to Consolidation, They didn't try to cater to anybody, They said fukk it, Lets do it for our core and the project ended up being one of the best albums I've heard in years and it had only ONE Juicy J appearance. Rae and RZA's bickering for a year damn near put the project on delay.

Wu Tang on the other hand for some reason feels the need to having to grab new fans when in reality alot of these new nikkas who listen to Young Thug, Drake, Mac Miller, and anybody listening to that shyt like that aren't trying to listen to Wu. At this point, Just take it back to basics and feed your core followers. Thats what DJ Paul is doing with our WITHOUT the original members. If the original members don't wanna contribute, Get some of the cats from your camp whom are nice enough to fill those voids.

hate to say this BUT not feeling the album at all. the beats to me aren't there and on top of that, they just don't sound like they blend in with the beats. it just isn't them or at least the wu tang that i'm used to hearing. of course, don't expect them to sound or make the music they did 20 years ago or even 10 years ago. it's like you can tell that they're :flabbynsick: and the beats along with that just makes them sound even worse. yeah, they're in their 40s going on to their 50s but damn..... it's like that passion isn't there anymore. they gave it a chance though and good to see that they're trying BUT damn...... this is not it. don't think it would have made a difference if odb was alive or dead either. they should just go along with the times. it's okay to make a trap beat or even fukk with edm. wu can still be relevant. just not like this.

What a horrible fukking attitude to have :camby:

They can be relevant without using trap beats.

Why should fans be forced to appreciate bad music

well, the beats they're rapping on from this album is NOT all that, dude. it certainly isn't bringing the fire out of them either. it makes them sound like they're really out of it. listening to that shyt the other day was depressing like damn.......... they're really tired.
