Loving the use of the live instruments as well. fukk the samples - this ain't 94 and rza ain't that dusty ass nikka in the basement. The reason the samples sounded so good back then cause they sounded dusty as fukk - if rza tried to replicate that shyt today the shyt would sound dated. If he went the other way and cleaned them up to make them sound more up to date they wouldnt sound like wu. Live instrumentation is def the way forward - updating the sound without making it sound cheap
in theory that sounds brilliant but it doesn't always work that way..but i do like what the rza is trying to steer with his live instrument practise.it's cool.
4th decsiple input is sounding right on the money to be more fair.

So you're not worried anymore?

relieved, I had to go get groceries with the wife and was just salty in the store the whole time :russ:

theres a couple missteps, I don't think 40th St should be the 3rd track on a WTC comeback album. Preacher's Daughter may be a total miss, I don't like the part they used. hook aside, the piano doesn't do it for me

all in all I think it will be a really worthy 4 mic lp, its got potential

The RZA can run those live instrumentation thru all kinds of analog equipment..which is prolly something he was advised to do

4th D went thru some tough times the past decade, and the stupid ass group he produces cant get their shyt together which held more of his music back. so glad they were able to get him back on board with 2 beats. and they are so dope too, Necklace is crazy but Miracle? dat Miracle? :whoo:

I don't care what NOBODY say. If you not feelin Ruckus In B Minor then you ain't a Wu fan real talk
that track is fire in my eyes..i just love the feel and energy. then along came necklace and that surpasses B Minor in my opinion..i will wait for the album, will not do the snippets.

It's a great track, I agree.

Idk, I'm not feeling these hooks at all but I'll probably end up liking the album if the cohesiveness is there. A lot of these beats are nice.

Cilva said he didn't hear Streetlife when he peeped it, that sucks I don't mind a quick SL verse. but he did not hear Big Horn so theres still a possibility

Keep Watch sounded better, theres an extra note that helps the beat out.

wiki has the track lengths up, theres either skits or something extra going on on a number of songs. Crushed Egos is only 2:26 that's right there with MGM for shortest group track

I appreciate you being unbiased as I know your a huge Wu fan but I think what we need to do is take a step back, breathe, and realize that we are judging SNIPPETS, not full songs. You seemed ready to travel down to Staten Island and smack RZA with a Wok while his Guitar Gently Weeped for that Preachers Daughter hook lol...

I remember when the snippets for Good Kid m.A.A.d City leaked and thinking to myself that Backseat Freestyle was going to be the worst thing Kendrick ever did, now I love that track and couldn't imagine the album without it, we shouldn't judge before we get the full product

can someone be objective and truly let me know if this is worth buying

Nas the only artist i will actually PAY for their music

Only snippets have dropped homie, you can't judge off snippets.

There are only 5 artists I pay money for without having heard any tracks beforehand

Nas
Common
Ghostface
Lupe Fiasco
The Roots

Jay used to be on that list but MCHG was fukking awful....
