From the snippets it seems like they all stepped their bars up. Guys like deck and mk sound so flat on their solo joints but wenever their with the wu they come to life. To me the wu is the greatest collective of emcees and i think they could make any instrumental sound good when their in their zone. Some of these beats and the beats of the full songs they've put out so far sound good but none of them stand out. I would have loved to have seen raes idea of the shoalin vs wu tang album become a reality, where it was everyone minus the abbot cus i know they still have the ability to create classics. Rza is like a weight at this point.

There is no Wu-Tang without RZA. Literally and figuratively I don't understand why people think you could actually have a Wu-Tang album without RZA, for better or for worse the Wu as a group are spearheaded by The Abbot....

I know what you mean, but its like a watching a coach who has the best players in the league but he doesnt know how to lead them to a championship. Who knows what would be created out of that energy of rebellion.

Ghost and Rae didn't show up at Letterman, and Meth looked like he didn't wanna be there but it still was a good performance, imo.

Happy to hear that
sounds like liquid swords gza, just hes using more science talk now. but he hasnt been all over a wu album like this since 36. he slays every single verse. idk how to take meth on this album yet.but honest to god this sounds like a wu album in 2014. not as dark but def wu esque. some of thesebeat change ups are ridicuklous. The rza took that critisicm to heart imo cause these beatys sound ridic.

When a nikka put his own bread on the line, what can you say?:heh:
It's funny cause when I first heard it with rza singing the hook, I was like :wtf:. When ghost came in after though it made more sense. Now I when I play it I'm fukking :dead: every time. Seems they were just having fun in the studio. Wu fans always take shyt too fukking seriously

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/...ekwon-and-the-future-of-wu-tang-clan-20141125

apparently MK was one of the real leaders on the project, thats dope. similar bullshyt from Rae and Ghost, but thats the most they've had record together since The W.they both sound good so far, its just a shame they didnt join the others in the old Wu Mansion. always wondered the same thing about Rae on 8D, if he disliked it so much why was he on 8 songs? i think he had the most apperances. Ghost made his stance clear, but Rae didnt seem to mind writing to half the album. odd

much bigger focus on topics and structure, i understand where Deck is comin from but RZA's really producing the whole record for a change. thats cool for me
So rza put up the bread so he could pay Rae independently from the rest out of his own pocket? If you don't fukk with the final product then cool but I think how rza went about making the product, having to campaign publicly to make the shyt even fukking happen and paying Nikkas out his own pocket then he has the right to do what the fukk he wants and people should appreciate that an albums even coming out at this point with all the effort he put in. Rae's one of my all time favourites but I don't fukk with how he moved with this album. Nikkas wanna talk that brother shyt but wanna hold their brothers to ransom for paper. Rae talking about he wants a bigger voice in the direction of the album when rza the only one putting his hand in his pocket to make the album happen.

I like what he said about the al green session band- why sample them dudes like they've done numerous times when they've got the bread to bring those dudes in make their own original music like al, willie mitchell and them did back in the days? Probably end up paying more to sample them Nikkas anyway and with no one else putting their hand in their pocket what would be the point?

We did. It was called "Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang." And repurposed as a Raekwon solo, because Raekwon has no fukking clue how to produce a Wu-Tang Clan album.

In fact, none of the other Wu-Tang Clan members have the ability or the interest or the money or the work ethic to produce a Wu-Tang Clan album.

The only member who makes Wu-Tang Clan albums happen is The RZA.

Whom you refer to as "dead weight."

Your post is stupid.

No RZA, no Wu-Tang albums.

You're basically complaining because RZA is not catering his music to your every personal whim, and imagining a fantasy world where Raekwon is a competent producer.
