Pioneer the Frontier and Miracle sounds the best to me from the snippets. RZA singing is killing Preachers Daughter. The second half definitely sounds better than the first.

I share the same sentiment. Pioneer The Frontier is the track that got me the most so far. I'm just hoping the finish product is better with possible RZA beat changes throughout. I hope he aint ruin two Wu albums in a row

I think the problem with Wu fans is they always want to take sides with the group, or RZA. Both got problems that can/will lead to wack albums/songs.

On the one hand they shouldn't act like divas when RZA calls them up for an album....on the other hand RZA needs to listen to them because you know damn well they were :camby: when he came into the studio with that hook.

I hear the old Wu magic on a couple songs but for the most part these dudes are done as a group. And not because they fell off, but because all the pieces are there, and they no longer seem to know how to put them together in cohesive manner any more.

That $5 million Wu album pisses me off even more now, because that's supposedly more "traditional" sounding Wu and we'll probably never hear it. They should've dropped that as the last Wu album, and tried to sell "A Better Tomorrow" for $5 mill.

Yo, based on the snippets... and I hate basing sh!t off snippets...it sounds like this album is gonna suffer from horrible, corny hooks.

I agree with most of what you say Hex, but I don't agree with them being done as a group. Like you said, you can hear the magic in some of these tracks. Miracle, Pioneer the Frontier, Necklace...those are prime Wu sounding sh!t. A lot of these beats sound really dope. THE PROBLEM IS RZA WITH THESE CORNY ASS HOOKS. It's disgusting. Nathaniel has NO business being on a Wu album and RZA's singing and voice is beyong laughable nowadays. I love RZA but I'm at the point now where I'll be happy to never hear him on a Wu hook or talking on a Wu track again. I cringe when I hear him on tracks, for the most part, nowadays.

I'm actually digging the snippets. Yeah a few of the hooks are terrible, but some of them may grow on me over time. For the others, there is always Cool Edit Pro. :yeshrug:
