YJ got renewed for a third season. I imagine they would have wanted a 2024/25 release

depends on how long the work stoppage is. I mean season 1 dropped in 2021 and season 2 dropped in 2023. so I didn't think season 3 would hit in 2024 unless we're talking 4thq 2024, which would mean they'd likely have plenty of time.

Dumb question , but how does this negatively impact series/movies? (Besides them being delayed)

Can't writers just pick up where they left off? seems like scripts get altered when there's a strike.

West where the Sunsets
hopefully they are back if they need that.
Yeah, not sure when they planned to film. the last strike was about 3 months. Things are much different now and I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes on longer. Someone mentioned how Netflix is good until the new year with shows. Who knows about other streaming services.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Hollywood loses more money this time around. These studios would rather lose money instead of paying the cats who make the industry what it is. Without a script there is no movie or show. :snoop:

For tv shows (not talk shows) It stunts the progress on stories and creativity. Imagine a ball player getting taken out in the first quarter while he’s on a hot streak and not put back in until the final minutes of the last quarter.

It also stops production. No rewrites on the set, no development of stories and characters.

It's a good thing Arcane already finished it's script for season 2 and most of their people are in house.

Didn't this writer strike happen about a decade or so ago and was one of the biggest reasons why that heros series went down in fire?
