What would possess anyone to upp this thread after he had just one of the best defensive performances in recent memory, completely shutting out arguably the best big man in the game?

There's gotta be something wrong with your brain.

What's really delusional is believing a 39-year-old Kareem was invincible. Worst defenders than Dray managed to defend him at that stage of his career, but then again, this thread was never made to generate honest discourse.

:manny:
39 year old wasn't invincile, but a 38 year old version won finals mvp. A 42 year old version was giving the pistons the business with Magic injured in the 89 finals during a game.. And you think Draymond, at 6'7 would stop him? At 39, that was 86. Look up Kareem's numbers in 86 against Houston in the playoffs. And you really think Draymond would have a chance? :russ:. I remember the man playing back then and he was past his prime then and they still couldn't stop him. Kareem in the 70s scores 75-80 on Draymond

how many 6'7 players guarded kareem in 86? I assure you Ralph Sampson and Hakeem were much harder to score over than a 6'7 power forward lol. Hey I may be wrong, but I seriously doubt it. Aint no 6'7 nikka stopping no 1986 Kareem. Stop this shyt!!!!
What part of worse defenders managed to contain Cap back in 1987 do you not understand?

Dray has managed to defend any and every type of big (Embiid, AD, Boogie, Gasol etc) in their primes, yet you wanna use comic book logic of a 39-year old version of Cap being some unstoppable force that couldn't be schemed for with Draymond anchoring the defense? This is without even taking into account the Warriors would drag his ass out on the perimeter and torture him in the PnR on the other end making him virtually unplayable. Or are you gonna tell me a 39-year-old Cap could switch out and defend all the Warriors' actions on the perimeter?
