Draymond is not a center
He's a tweener SF / PF
A role player and 4th option
Wes Unseld was a League MVP and Finals MVP... Which is why I'm laughing at the comparison
On offence a lot of Hall of Famers would be 4th options on a team starring KD, Steph, and Klay. Including Wed Unseld for certain. Wes averaged 10ppg for his career as a very limited offensive player, getting most of his points off of putbacks and broken plays at the rim.
And if we're talking accolades, after his MVP rookie season (on the back of averaging 14-18-3 with hard defense and a lot of intangibles), Wes never made an All-NBA team. Despite his crazy rookie campaign for much of his career he was considered much like Draymond is, as a great role player but not as your primary offensive option.
But of course it's pointless to make offensive comparisons or talk MVPs because we weren't talking about offence at all and we weren't comparing them as players, we were talking defense. Draymond was a DPOY while Wes never made an All-Defensive team. That doesn't tell the whole story though because Wes was still one of the better defenders of his era. He and Draymond did some things similarly but had important differences, which is why a comparison would be interesting even if I didn't make one.
