Hey man.

The games are just fine.

The only people i see saying this generation is “trash”

Are people complaining about the lack of new PS5 3rd person exclusive games.

For everyone else, we’ve been enjoying hella games :manny:
Sony exclusives just got that extra sauce. I'm sorry.

If you only play on one console and or only play Triple A games.

It has to feel pretty bad

depends, me personally I think XSX the best console Microsoft has made so far. But they fukked up so hard last gen they’ve basically been spending this gen trying to dig out of that hole.

This has allowed Sony to coast. And they flopped hard with this Concord thing so now they’ve turned to squeezing their base for even more money.

The market being this saturated has made zeitgeist moments harder to come by.

If you think this generation is bad its most likely a sign you need to move on from gaming.

The PS4 era is the WOAT imo of all the years I've been gaming but this era (PS5) while having some dope games in the library has been lackluster in some ways. Like someone said in this thread this era is creatively bankrupt w/gaming. I know Sony's trademark is making a bunch of remasters but every game doesn't need a remake (like Until Dawn).

Don't get me started on that overpriced PS5 Pro w/no disc drive.

I'd say this generation is pretty bad IMO.

Ps360, ps2/Gamecube/Xbox, N64/Ps1/Sega consoles etc.
Those periods really spoiled it us.
The clip at which games came out and how often masterpieces came out is legitimately crazy in retrospect.

Whereas in this generation we're three to five years between releases.
The games are carved up to the point they're barely recognizable.
All kinds of services are pushed into the games to monetize the gameplay beyond the initial purchase.
There's a proliferation of copycat shooters.
A million "Soulslike" games.

It just feels generally pretty terrible.

Does this mean all of the games suck? No.
But there's not enough good quality stuff to offset the trash. IMO.

Older generation of games was riddle with trash games. It was worst back then but no one cared because most of us were kids back then.

I think 2015-2019 was worse.

Maybe I just missed out then, but I really found no game I enjoyed during that time except Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (where you had jetpacks) and quit gaming altogether.

This generation brought me back. Got some great RPG's, fighting games coming back, etc.

Indies seem strong but the (good) big dawg AAA games, don't seem up to par with previous generations.

I don't feel like there are a bunch of new games I'm missing out on. Most of the shyt I'm tryna play is old like RDR2. Elden Ring is the closest to a console seller I can think of.
