What was so great bout the PS1 gen?

It was some gems but the Genesis/SNES gen was better than that to me

This gen I can’t speak on since I been spending most of it playing sports games. I will eventually get to the rest of them but I dunno if I’d call this the WOAT gen unless you just mean this millennium

If you play a certain type of game then yeah I can see this being a mid generation.

Especially if your favorite dev is taking so long making a single game that they miss an entire generation because they wanna add individual physics to coochie hair.

In terms of technological progress, yes. In terms of actual games I want to play, no.

This gen feels like ps4 with slightly better resolution and framerate and much faster load times. However there are tons of amazing games.

• So much greed with corporations, it would make Scrooge McDuck convert to Islam

• Layoffs to the point where the entire industry is in the chowline
• Tonedef publishers
• Idiotic manic gamers
• Stannery beyond recognition
• PC Builds are wild expensive
• Undercooked performances
• No Clockwork Knight remake
• The retro gaming community is cannibalizing itself

Quite frankly, we were better off in the PS3/Xbone/Wii era which imo peaked gaming as Sony was making movies, Xbox was doing its online thing, Nintendo was plowing shyt and racking racks, while PC gaming hit apex levels of dope
