Would you rather own a successful but small business or be an executive president of a large corp

Exactly. The irony is that an Owner can hire an Executive to do all of the stressful busy work for them while they hang out with their kids and go to their games lol

well i own a small business and have an office and am looking to get a store front but small business doesn’t mean store either or could be businesses 2 business or online business

that being said freedom of flexibility is priceless i get up every mornin and do what i want if i want to spontaneously go to Jamaica right now i could and don’t have to let anyone know ….if your success small business can be ran remotely that’s the best scenario you could be on permanent vacation working from a beach

Money provides freedom.

Working at Exxon, you would be able to retire after 5 years and live a life of comfort.

If you're running a small business, you're bound by ensuring that the business continues to run right. As much as you say "I can go on holiday when I want", that isn't actually the case for most people running a business.

How much would hiring an executive cost? If you are running a small business, the revenue isn't going to be high enough for you to take a hands off approach. Unless you're not relying on it as your primary source of income.

Some of you are stupid.

The small business.

could likely cash out or scale if it’s going so well.

Imma take successful small company that means you have workers so you don’t necessarily have to be in your store or whatever all day

plus not having to ask someone is it cool to take a vacation and have the freedom to make your own schedule is priceless

living life on your own terms >>.
yes you do 99.8% of the time if you want it to survive :mjlol:

Your employees don't have the same vested interest as you. If the business goes under worst case for them is a new job hunt and collecting unemployment. You're stuck with debt and any legal fallout.

Now the underlined part I agree with 100% but it's not a big deal unless you're job/boss is complete ass.

There's millions of business owners , but only one major company executive president.

I see alot of good answers in this thread but overall I wished my people lived more in practicality rather than idealism. Being a “boss” and all the hoopla surrounding it is mostly make believe.

:mjlol:

So you think that just because you own a business that you get vacations every week?:russ:

nikka I know multiple 7 figure business owners and they are all like the hardest workers in there business. They work the most hours. They work when the business is closed and employees are fukking off on the weekends. They are responsible for actually growing the business which is hard as hell depending on what you do.

This notion that bosses automatically have more flexibility is more of the fairy tales I was talking about.
