Essentially own your own small business or be the exceutive president of exxon mobil

As the owner of this successful small business, you make the maximum amount of revenue to qualify as small business i.e $8 million and pay yourself a salary of $300k annually

The salary of EP at exxon is listed as $2,146,500

So you are not trying to be your own boss

Compared to a cushy-ass executive position at a Fortune 100? :heh:

No, absolutely not. I don't wanna work that hard.

An executive at Exxon Mobile will be working half the hours as the business owner, and a lot of those hours will be spent shaking hands and drinking scotch.

Plus... the exec would be earning more, have significantly better benefits, as well as a massive sphere of political influence. You'd probably be in a skybox at the Super Bowl every year and shyt. This is a no-brainer.

bruh those are complete extremes. I know why you're asking but to be the top dog at Exxon is one in a million.
Owning a successful small business is also rare as 70 percent of new businesses fail within the first 5 years and the ones that survive, only a small percentage are actually
actually killing it enough to be considered successful.
The problem is exacerbated by big businesses completely monopolising the market/industry
most small businesses are just getting by or on the verge of closure:yeshrug:

:mjlol:

An executive at a large company could purchase SEVERAL small businesses if they cared to.

But you technically still can't call yourself a boss unless you own the comapny/business
