Would you have ever seen a day where McDonalds would be struggling to HEALTHIER brands?

If the fast food joints returned to end of the 90s prices all of this would be a moot point. The fast food prices are now at the level of some of these other joints and folks are saying that if they are gonna spend such and such amount of dollars they might as well eat at such and such restaurant. Business matters.

it's only Mcdonalds hurting, lol. Burger king and wendys are thriving!

food snobs will not let it happen. People call other peoples food choices nasty all the time now in days..really annoying group of people hiding behind faux health benefits. Being a food snob is acceptable now in days...and god forbid your a snob about traditional things like cars & homes and therefore labeled a bad guy.

Thriving now....let those prices keep climbing.....and I'm not even trying to get on a high horse because I fukk with all of these joints from time to time. But pricing yourself out of a market is a real possibility regardless of who you are......

I'd rather eat at the whole foods hot bar or any grocery store's prepared food section. Most of the counter arguments to McDonald's that you listed (like subway, chipotle, etc.) aren't that much better. You end up paying more but it's definitely better for you...

This shyt is incredible to watch.

Things like SweetGreen, Chipotle, Subway, Shake Shack etc are taking OVER and old giants are struggling to keep up

Its really just a reminder that even the big ones still have to compete at the highest levels and always worry about falling off

Those meals/foods on the menu are not healthier , it's just a part of the marketing scheme, a whole lot of food producers and restaurants are hopping on the Green theme. Its the next big thing.

not everyone wants vegatables, potoates, and an entree. I only want to on occasion and i prefer to hot food at giant food or shoppers warehouse where they got more soul food when I want that.

I got frozen beef patties, brats, steak or chicken, and hot dogs in the fridge/freezer. I pretty much want meat sandwiches whether its foreman grill or fast food....not everyone likes meals so to speak everyday.

they go for the quality like the average person and for a different flavor....

then the food snob comes in and tell you they will make an egg mcmuffin better at home with a holandaise sauce and diss your breakfast choice on some slick ish!!! food snobs get under my skin...maybe it's just me.

They (whole foods) serve more than that, you can get whole pizzas or slices, sushi, sandwiches, baked goods and a shyt load of other things. You should try it. It's not as one sided as you think. It's a grocery store so it'd make sense they'd have everything you need...

Customer service plays a part as well.

Chick-fil-A is more expensive that McDonalds or most QSRs but people will overlook that for the service element.

and fud-ruckers in the 90s had me anti mcdoanlds for a while .... ate age 9 if it wasn't a double quater pounder or arch deluxe i wasn't feeling it with mcdonalds or the other chains. College and being drunk got me to appreciate the dollar menu at mcdoanlds...haha.
