Would Pac & Big be as irrelevant in 2008 the same way Wayne is irrelevant right now?

They are lucky they had Lil Wayne.
2009, yes. 2010 to now, it's the other way around. Drake and Nicki blowing up the way they did saved Wayne from suffering the same fate as T.I. when he went to prison. Carter IV would've been his No Mercy

Whatever Jay-Z and Nas is doing now, it ain't far fetch to say Big and Pac would be right up there with them. Especially if Jay is capable of making headlines whenever he's featured on something and they disecting his bars, you can bet BIG would get as much attention as hov. you mfs are some idiots if you think BIG would be irrelevant, the mf is the GOAT and yall talking about no one checkin for BIG in 2008, especially when snoop's whole existence is based off DOGGYSTYLE. BIG would have 5 classic albums by then. He'd be in a different stratosphere that hasn't been seen yet. I refuse to believe BIG would be irrelevant up to 08, foh. Pac as well, Pac would be dominating the movies and still putting out music. These weren't ya average rap stars, these mfs were destined to be on a lonely mountain.
Jigga has the Beyonce trump card
Dude was in interviews with this vision and speaking about doing this during an era when no one else was. B.I.G. would've been just fine, had he lived.
Like Eazy had already, or The Rza, how bout Master P and Baby, Dre at Deathrow

None of those people were signed to Dre. Those were Suge's artists. Dre always admits he left Death Row with nothing. None of Wu was signed to RZA either. Both Eazy and Master P admit to not being "rappers". They saw themselves as businessmen. I'm talking about a top-tier MC at the height of his career, opening businesses in the city where he's from and partnering with another top-tier MC to build a coalition to develop and release their own artists independently. Not with a major label. On their own.

Nobody was moving like that at that spot in their career back then. That's something you see today, but back then, everyone ran to majors to get their sh*t moving. B.I.G. said he already had a name, so he can work with that and put his own people out without needing a major label to back him. Way ahead of his time.

Let’s say Pac went to Atlanta in Sept 96
And biggie went to UK March 97

Diddy possibly gets killed in La
Suge doesn’t go to prison for 7 years
Pac and Big reconcile makes first watch the throne
Flashy bling bling era probably doesn’t happen
No limit and 2pac link up cash money probably don’t end up as big
Dmx Jay ja rule careers probably aren’t the same
Suge is still free who knows if Eminem gets
signed
50 cent probably beefs with biggie lol
Kanye probably doesn’t get the shine because Jayz career isn’t the same
Jay crashes out in 2003 either goes to prison or dies
2005-2008
Hardcore rap still going hard
Pac in movies, politics married to Jada lol
Biggie took Jay Z spot
No Kanye , drake, SoundCloud era etc

A lot could have changed if they survived

No Kanye West = black folks still rocking baggy clothes and acting like Beanie Sigel until 2050 AD. Kanye saved the culture from stagnation in the mid 00s

Since alotta ppl throw Wayne in the goat convo, his run ended around 12 years ago and he is completely irrelevant right now, would the same have been true for Pac and Big in the late 2000s?
Depends on what you mean Tupac would probably be in a similar role as Snoop Dogg is today. So still relevant as an icon but probably not so much for his music. Probably also would have done a lot more acting as well.
Biggie probably would've also still be in high regards as well but maybe not so much as a rapper. I think he would have put on more artists in 2000s and beyond rather than rapping much himself.

Pac would have gone into movies. Kind of a Jamie Foxx/Snoop hybrid.

Biggie? Something like Jay Z. He'd be a mogul sitting courtside at Knicks games.

He was Diddy's artist breh. Jay was never anybody's artist so it's kinda hard for me to see Big make the same transition

Big was gonna sign with Sony so he wasn't gonna be independent. He wasn't gonna be doing anything much different than anyone else at the time
