would it be a stretch to say despite AEW’s “huge” acquisitions, their momentum is waning??

I'm more invested in AEW than I have been over the last 2 years. It's the only big fed I check for weekly.

I don't understand some of these fans nowadays. What do you want? Omega/DB feud is still going. Punk's giving rub to fresh talent. There's interesting things going on in the midcard scene. There's enough to keep fans engaged.

They're putting asses in seats, selling merch, and have a consistently solid product. I would think all the YEARS of a stagnant E would finally take its course and keep your expectations low. Some of y'all just want more and more and for it to happen immediately. :snoop:

TSC is bizarro world when it comes to AEW.

They’ve literally gained 400-500k new viewers over the span of a year, and they reached over a mil in viewership BEFORE the big acquisitions, yet momentum is going down. :skip:

This is something the rating retards fail to see. :mjlol:

We’re not talking about a year of growth, we’re talking about momentum from the starting point of Punk and Bryan’s acquisition.

What was gained? A 1 week bump of 400k that has since disappeared little by little.

Nobody is arguing AEW is in a bad spot. Im literally a fan, so you can save the personal shots. We all know AEW even getting to this point is a win, and I’d even say the product is infinitely better than WWE’s… but that’s not what THIS conversation is about

Compare real life, competitive sports to predetermined theater combat brehs. :dead:

So what should the comparison be?

What “game” changed in the wrestling world between Punk and Bryan’s debut, and now? Maybe I’m missing something

I don’t see a difference. The game is literally the same my g.. sorry

AEW’s product improved for the better, but they’ve always been the better product vs WWE so that’s a wash

Dynamite has really only gained about 200-300k viewers in recent months from where they were a year ago. You know, it’s almost as if another wrestling show who used to be in the same time slot on the same day isn’t on at the same time and day as them anymore. :ohhh:

Its not waning, but could they have taken more advantage of certain things and made storylines and programmes with bigger splash? Maybe. They might be saving things though

Other than Rampage sliding in the ratings (which does have legit excuses) its AEW gaining an uptick of interest in other areas

The spike in viewership started about 2 months ago, which shows the momentum they’ve gained recently. You weren’t even checking for AEW a year ago when they averaged 600-700k. They’ve literally gained more fan interest. To say it’s disappearing is Fuxkin dumb because they’ve been steady with over 1.1 mil Views.

You guys like to talk ratings like that’s the only thing that matters. Fans are happy. The Network is happy. Fans are packing stadiums. Stop bytching because you feel things aren’t the way you want/see it. :stopitslime;

stop, AEW’s fanbase are guys on message boards like us

The “casual audience” literally doesn’t exist for this company so don’t even try that fam. AEW has a niche audience, and that much has been very clear from day one

That's not even what the fukk I meant. I meant the constant negativity and downplaying of AEW's progress on TSC. Wasn't talking about no casual fans.

Nobody is bytching, I don’t know why your approach is so aggressive lol. I’m literally a fan b…

A game changing acquisition has literally made NO difference in viewership, and you’ve yet to address that..

It is what it is. If you can’t see that momentum specifically from the point of the big 3 signings of Cole, Punk and Bryan has completely peaked and have since stalled, I don’t know what to tell you fam…

You continue to say dumbass shyt. :dead:

I’ve met people in real life who you wouldn’t expect to be fans. My chola cousin’s ex boyfriend is a fan. Dude even went to Vegas for a show. 2 cats at my old job are fans. One fits the casual Neckbeard category, but the other was a stoner who would rather chase broads and weed.
