Steph curry is objectively better than Hakeem :what:
Steph curry is a a system player that depends on lax defensive rules and the three point line to be effective. If he played in the 90s, he probably wouldnt last 5 seasons and would never be an mvp candidate. He also only plays 1 side of the floor, which you casuals never seem to understand.

No......he isn't. No GM in the NBA today would choose prime Wardell over prime Olajuwon. I don't care if it is a 3 point happy league. Curry is a great shooter.....Olajuwon is a dominant force.

This has already been proven false. Lesser players and POINT GUARDS for that matter have
A) lasted 5 seasons
B) ate well
C) have become MVP candidates

fukking Mark Price finished top 10 in MVP voting (in the entire league)
3 times back to back in 91/92/93 and finished top 7 enroute to that.

How the fukk wouldn’t Stephen curry be an mvp candidate

Hakeem is still better but they are very similar at the same stage of development in fact Embiid’s age 24 season is more dominant than Hakeem’s age 24 season.
Ehh, that’s debatable. We’ll have to see what Embiid does this year in the playoffs, cuz he kinda flamed our last year

In his second year at age 24 Hakeem was tearing up teams in the post season and made it the Finals as a major underdog.

I agree that they’re comparable and he does have the potential to reach Hakeem’s level tho

Steph curry is objectively better than Hakeem :what:
Only if you’re delusional

Steph is one of the most impactful players of all time and revolutionized the game. But against a team with strict defensive principles that plays physical against Steph, he at times struggles to find his shot and his lack of supreme athleticism and physicality can leave him neutralized to a certain extent.

He’s an all time great but he’s no Hakeem, he does not dominate on THAT level against the upper tier competitors.

Mark price was never in serious consideration for mvp. And curry would basically be a slightly improved version of price bc you could actually guard him back then, unlike now. He is weak physically, so he would likely not last at peak level for long. His frail body would quickly rack up injuries. Regardless, the fact that your young ass ignores all that Olajuwon could do on both ends for some fakkit that can only chuck threes in a weaker era, shows you dont know shyt about basketball.

He doesn't dominate. He gets his little threes bc you cant touch him and they win bc they have a better team than most. Olajuwon imposed his will on mufukkas on both ends and with inferior personnel on his squad. He was leading in like 5 major categories. That is real domination, not being a little rich boy with everything handed to you in life and playing with 16 other all stars.

You wouldn't say 90% of the shyt you're saying about Curry if he was dark skinned. Let's just be real :comeon:

LSU, Saints, Alcorn, VCU
He’s better than all of them and had a way worse supporting cast throughout his career.
Hakeem was drafted first over Jordan, Barkley, and Stockton. If they did that draft over knowing what we know nowthe Rockets would still take him over Jordan. That’s how valuable he was to that team.

I’M OUT OF HERE FOR REAL THIS TIME!

I’ll show the defending champs respect, they have far too much talent for me to say any team in history would sweep them.

But if Harden, CP3, Gordon, Green, PJ Tucker show at least a fraction of that fire they did in the WCF last year, I could see it ending 5 or 6

They damn sure would NOT need to jack up 27 straight brick 3’s with Hakeem working in the low post. Imagine Boogie Cousins or Bogut tryna guard Hakeem :mjlol: or double teams coming for him with all those shooters on the wing :wow:
