N*gga, what??You wouldn't say 90% of the shyt you're saying about Curry if he was dark skinned. Let's just be real
No I’m not. Olajuwon is top 10 all time playerYou're definitely overrating Hakeem, it is what it is tho. You'll prolly need 5 years for Curry to be retired before you really give him his just due.
nobody would take Hakeem over Giannis? @ShortyK
No I’m not. Olajuwon is top 10 all time player
You’re listing guys like Harden, Giannis, Embiid as his competition if he played today. Stop it, they’ve done nothing in comparison to 80’s Akeem let alone Hakeem. Maybe Harden but that’s it
Yeah you have nostalgia bias. Giannis would win MVP in 1995 and be considered the best player in the NBA with the season he's having right now.
David Robinson would still have won it with his numbers b stop it
We can play time machine, put Giannis back in 1995, who are his shooters on the Bucks to help create spacing
Giannis numbers are better than David Robinson's were and the Bucks were 9th in 3pts made that year and shot a better percentage than this year's Bucks
Mark price was never in serious consideration for mvp. And curry would basically be a slightly improved version of price bc you could actually guard him back then, unlike now. He is weak physically, so he would likely not last at peak level for long. His frail body would quickly rack up injuries. Regardless, the fact that your young ass ignores all that Olajuwon could do on both ends for some fakkit that can only chuck threes in a weaker era, shows you dont know shyt about basketball.
No one was shooting 3s back then, so again, what team was Giannis gonna hop on and get an MVP and maintain the same numbers?
The Bucks, he'd prolly score even easier since the 3 point line was shortened
It was shortened by a foot. And Giannis isn't an outside shooter (dude is about 37% from the FT line to the 3pt line), because if you wanna play that game then Hakeem would develop an outside shot for this era then
Yo I love watching these highlights. Real shyt. I get more hype for amazing post play than I do high flying dunks for real. shyt is just majestic to me.He'd be the best big for sure. I'm thinking a top-3 player easily.
If you watched how Hakeem moved around the court, he made moves extremely quick like a wing player in the post. He did that to score before the inevitable double teams came. Imagine if there was even more space for him to post up 1-on-1?
Defensively, most bigs today have trouble in pick & rolls, Olajuwon was always quick enough to switch and bother perimeter players, that's what would make him so special today with the frequency of PNR.
- Played 35-40 MPG, something most centers simple cannot give you per night
- Good passer, who was comfortable passing from the top of the key or post, the best centers today separate themselves with this skill.
- Can switch on defense and stay with guards
- Elite rim protector who can stay out of foul trouble
- Can't double him as frequently due to better long-distance shooting
- Can't use your hands to force him directions anymore due to the way fouls are called
- And damn sure can't throw a small ball 5 out there
He'd be and at all times today.
