Hakeem wasnt better than Steph, KD, Harden, LeBron, Embiid, etc.
Hakeem was an elite player on offense and defense so the harden argument is already out the door. Embiid is like what kobe was too Jordan so that's already out the door also. The other players are debatable.

Embiid is 7'2 270 while Hakeem was 6'10 230, that's a dumb comparison.

Reality is a tough pill to swallow :yeshrug:
I was about to type a huge argument but that's a waste of time lol. I will just say this and keep it moving since this is the modern era. Hakeem 3 nba finals 2 wins Embiid 0.

Bro there's nothing to argue, you don't even remember/know Hakeem was considered undersized. You don't know what you're talking about :yeshrug:

He’d be the best player in the world by a good margin.

You replace Clint Capela with him on the current Rockets and they beat GSW in 4 games.

Barring any Harden or CP3 fukk ups/Injury

Fixed.

Injuries to Paul or Harden wouldn't matter. Dream took a bunch of bums to the Finals and won in 94. Dude was such a force on both sides of the court, GSW wouldn't have any answers for him.

He'd be the best big for sure. I'm thinking a top-3 player easily.

If you watched how Hakeem moved around the court, he made moves extremely quick like a wing player in the post. He did that to score before the inevitable double teams came. Imagine if there was even more space for him to post up 1-on-1?

Defensively, most bigs today have trouble in pick & rolls, Olajuwon was always quick enough to switch and bother perimeter players, that's what would make him so special today with the frequency of PNR.
  • Played 35-40 MPG, something most centers simple cannot give you per night
  • Good passer, who was comfortable passing from the top of the key or post, the best centers today separate themselves with this skill.
  • Can switch on defense and stay with guards
  • Elite rim protector who can stay out of foul trouble
  • Can't double him as frequently due to better long-distance shooting
  • Can't use your hands to force him directions anymore due to the way fouls are called
  • And damn sure can't throw a small ball 5 out there

He'd be :picard: and :blessed: at all times today.

Thats a narrative you created at what point did I say Embiid and Hakeem were the same height and weight?
