Cyclops didn't really do shyt so he's a great pick. Shoe horning mystique in apocalypse was terrible, and angel didn't seem to fit in the last stand at all. Little was done to explore the character of the Phoenix though and the writers didn't let her go fully nuts to my great disappointment. Worst is deadpool though. I don't even care that they got it right the next time. The first time was not the character at all. Seriously how do they write deadpool into that?

The Truth
is he lame in the comics?
He's lame in the cartoons and they made him "cooler" in the newer versions of the comic books

But Cyclops stans always butthurt. Dude was at one point a whiny bytch and thats kinda how they made him in the movies.

Deadpool by far caused the biggest outrage on how they turned his character (mainly because you could tell Reynolds was perfect for the role).

Regardless if they "made up" for it, it was by far the biggest mutant fukkup ever on screen..

And technically they wouldnt have ever made up for it if it wasnt for Reynolds, leaked test footage, and the fan outcry to create the movie. No ones checking for cyclops like that

Nah, Cyclops was boss in the OG 70s/early 80s era. He sonned Logan on the regular, turned losing battles around against impossible odds, had the baddest girlfriends, and even wrecked the whole group by himself at one point.

The only thing that really ruined him was leaving his family to be with Jean in X-factor, which was editorially mandated and done behind Chris Claremonts back. He was mad enough to quit when he found out what they were doing with the character, since his plan was for Scott to get married and move on from the X-men permanently. (We're still cool with Spider-man in spite of One More Day though :mjpls: )

Had to go with Cyclops.

Mainly because a lot of the other characters either only had a minor role in the movies (ie. Deadpool, Juggernaut, etc.) or weren't that important anyway (Jubilee). But Cyclops? He's one of the most important X-men, literally the leader, and they completely wasted him in the OG trilogy.

Imagine if Marvel studios made Cap into a bytch and Black Widow leader of the Avengers. :hhh:that's basically how they did my man cyclops.

They never used jubilee, they gave her role to rouge. The wolverine was actually pretty good the ending with the giant adamantium samurai is what killed it
