Get rid of rap music, WSHH, and anything else you consider "ratchet" and nothing will change in how we're perceived.
I also said its not just about that how we are perceived. Regardless if people like to admit it or not people are heavily influenced by things like music and media. That is people in general. What are we allowing younger generations to be influenced by without the majority having any other type of guidance? There has always been, rachetness around. Ratchet is just the popular word for it now, but there was also balance and parenting. Pride, self love/worth and community is rarely being taught. Poverty is glorified vs. just a situation and trying to get out from under it. Glorifying ignorance,to the point people don't want to better themselves because its popular.
