People were laughing at some conspiracy theories now look where we are. You can't develop a vaccine that fast. Look who's behind these vaccines and you'll find out a lotta dirt, read more on how they been running tests on Africans for many years.
I am not a doctor to tell how legit the vaccines are but these leaders behind the whole health system are very corrupted eating big budgets like a muthafukka every year, making big amounts of money disappear somewhere.

This is why I said it many times, all that conspiracy bullshyt yall believe in flat earths or whatever when it's way more dangerous legitimate shyt going on behind the scenes.

and the thing is no matter where it came from at this point who the f-ck cares - its here now.
discovering the source/truth dont translate a faster vaccine or cure.
and no matter what someone is ALWAYS going to profit off of a pandemic.
thats out of our control though, what is in our control is trying to stay healthy and safe and take smart precautions.

1st Round Playoff Exits
Anywhere where people congregate is basically going to get slaughtered. Airlines gonna get slaughtered, hospitality industry. Unless there's a breakthrough with quick testing, a lot of people are going to stay away. Even I can't bring myself to eat out..I don't even get takeout or delivery. Too scared. This thing is too damn contagious and the "experts" have no clue how to combat this thing.
Breh in LA they got workers protesting because they dont have gloves, masks, and soap.

Humans have lived through virus pandemics before and we'll live through this one.
Soon enough Covid-19 will be just like getting the flu.

Humans will go out with a whimer not a bang.

What does that even mean?

And where are the Neanderthals?

Where are the North American native people? Did they live through the diseases that Europeans brought with them?

:ufdup:You could probably "live through" losing all of your limbs, that doesn't mean that you would actually want to blissfully and passively have that happen to you.

No one here said that humanity will all be gone.

the worst part is there are STILL so many people who dont/wont/aint taking this seriously.

sidenote: the producer Nottz was talking about the pandemic on his social media and some dude was on there saying its a hoax and he aint seen nobody sick (this was last week). when people started replying to him saying they personally knew sick/dead people his reaction was "media got yall scared and the govt told you it was corona so you just believe whatever they tell you...."
:mindblown:

the level of obtuseness had me speechless- and i dont think he was trolling at all cuz i've heard other folks in person say similar dumb sh-t like that but its like wow man - its all fantasy until it hits your family/friends.
our hospital is right by a park and a lake and from my window (since 3 weeks ago) there are people jogging and walking in groups and maybe 20% have mask on. it was only this week (monday) when the police when out there to tell people "spread out" cuz folks were just passing by each other rubbing shoulders and hanging out.

WTF

:dahell:

Girl I know just told me that she doesn't disinfect packages or take any care at all regarding items that she purchases or which are delivered to the house. You can tell she has been influenced by the "anti-panickers" because she then said "I am not panicked, I am just not worried".

I just told her that "you don't wear condoms because you are "panicked" you just do it because it is the sensible thing to do" (@skeetsinternal excepted of course).

The degree of anti-scientific, non-rational thinking out there is truly disturbing.

please stop equating this to the flu.
you better pray and hope this dont become like the flu.
the flu mutates fast - there's more than 200 different strains which is why there's no 100% fool-proof vaccine.
Covid-19 mutates slow however it has a tough shell so it can live on non-organic surfaces for a long time - making it highly durable and very contagious.

secondly as our world has become more and more interconnected via modern transportation it becomes much easier for diseases to spread. think about how far the spanish flu spread 100 years ago when people only had horses, trains, and boats to get around for the most part. In Feb 2020 you could be in Wuhan on a Tuesday then San Francisco on Wednesday and Italy by Friday.

so f-ck all that "just like getting the flu" sh-t

If this is true we need to bomb China off principle. Seriously though, they need to pay, on some WW1 reperations shyt.

Unless you're fine with extinction of mankind that is a horrible idea.
However they do need to be held accountable economically. With that said it isn't their fault we were caught with our pants down and unprepared. We should be placing more blame on the system that made this problem worse.

Trump wanted to shut down shyt back in January..Fauci and WHO advised him not to.
Both made the mistakes, you can find plenty of news on google talking about WHO considering the virus not as big of a threat in early january, just to change their views on the virus few weeks later when shyt got really real in china. WHO said "no evidence of human-to-human transmission" because they trust what china says.

What does that even mean?
I think what I said is self explanatory.

And where are the Neanderthals?
We don't know what killed the Neanderthals.

Where are the North American native people? Did they live through the diseases that Europeans brought with them?
They're still around (except for the Taino and Caribs of the Caribbean, they are pretty much gone as a people and culture). They aren't the dominant people in what's called the USA, Canada, Mexico but they're still around. Sure diseases can be devastating but you'll be suprised how quickly humans can bounce back when left alone to adapt with no one oppressing them.

:ufdup:You could probably "live through" losing all of your limbs, that doesn't mean that you would actually want to blissfully and passively have that happen to you.
And?

No one here said that humanity will all be gone.
Hopefully it makes us humble and realise that no matter how advanced tech is, we're still vulnerable.

yeah man - just like when i drive to the store two weekends ago i saw hella packed parking lots at churches.
i was at a stop sign and i rolled down my window and smiled to the elder sister in her sunday clothes and said "that aint social distancing" and her reply was the equivalent of letting Jesus take the wheel.

all i did was give a cringey smile and said "bless you - stay safe" and i drove off.
mind you this was 2 weeks ago when there was still lots of folks saying black people couldn't get it.
of course now we see black people getting decimated by the disease.
and who was packing all these churches 2 weeks ago?
old black people - the main group of folks in the most danger especially with little to no health insurance.
our hospital team has virtual meetings everyday and a big group chat online so we can check on each other because between the frontlines and seeing other folks ignorance/ambivalence about this and corporations still trying to hold onto a dead business model in this pandemic is truly depressing.

We'll still be here. Think of all the pandemics humans have had since we've been on this planet for 250K years. How is this any different?

secondly as our world has become more and more interconnected via modern transportation it becomes much easier for diseases to spread. think about how far the spanish flu spread 100 years ago when people only had horses, trains, and boats to get around for the most part. At the bolded part - And still here humans are. All ~7.8 billion of us. It's just something we going to have to get used to and adapt.

so f-ck all that "just like getting the flu" sh-t
We'll just add to all the vius and bacteria that we have to on watch for. We'll still be here.

You keep mix-matching. The North American Indians have not "bounced back". Don't conflate and then dis-aggregate without ensuring consistency because comments about one do not necessarily apply to the other.

No one here said that humanity will all be gone.

No one here said that humanity will not bounce back.

These assurances are not justifications for broad individual inaction today.

Its really only like 15 countries that are all the way effed effed. USA France Italy Spain UK, etc They have to hit pause for 2 years basically.:gucci:
Other countries can shut borders tight and function otherwise normally internally IMO. Nigeria has 5 dead on complete lockdown. RIP but we are not shutting down like that for 2 years. Send the vaccine when its ready in the meantime we can do tests and continue quarantining but i hope come May people can work in small groups with masks and gloves. No trips abroad however......indefinitely:francis:

It is not human nature to not feel anger and want retribution for such a monumental fukk up..
The Chinks are now presenting themselves as clean in all this..

The collective world will have to bomb China into oblivion..fukk it!!
