Well, how do you propose we return to some sort of normalcy when we have a highly contagious pathogen - for which no vaccine or cure exists - that is killing tens of thousands of people in a matter of days? I guess I'm just puzzled by people like you and others who think we have to return to "normalcy" before society breaks down. Society has already broken down, or are you not observing what's currently taking place? Right now, we're a million miles away from where we were last year, all because an incompetent administration failed to be proactive and implement measures that would facilitate a fast and efficient response to the spread of a pathogen like this.
At this point, people pushing for society to open back up are becoming a threat.
This is how I've been feeling, especially the bolded. And why I continue to say there will be no "normal" after this. We're not going back to that anytime soon. But people in this country think that everything will be good in a couple of weeks and they'll have a lit summer with a fukking killer virus on the loose. It's depressing comedy to read.
