this is fukking disgusting what’s going on with housing…ppl should not be struggling while making $70k+

We need to be cognizant that a lot of struggles are self induced because of poor financial decisions and pressure to live above your means.

Also, the fact that housing in many peoples eyes is an institution to generate income... not as a basic necessity has led us here. Peoples greed exponentially made the problem worse.

I wouldn't say that. You have to remember the thriving middle class is what allowed a man to securely provide a house, food and amenities for a wife and child by 25. Definitely by 30. The middle class system set benchmarks of people "getting there early" and the rhetoric around Millennial and Zoomers having their American Dream threatened or erased is based on not getting at an appropriate time or ever.
The "getting there early" you're talking about and what I was discussing with the other poster are two different things. I don't disagree with anything you said

The "getting there early" I'm referring to is the gold rush meta we're currently in where in the face of crumbling infrastructure everyone is trying to get what they can wherever they can, sucking it dry, then moving on to the next. This isn't a huge deal on a smaller scale but it's becoming the resting state of the nation

-If a grown man doesn't know about job availability within different sectors, what exactly is he doing all day?

-It's up to people to demand higher pay. Do they look at the listed salary range? What salary do they ask for? Do they negotiate salary? If current job isn't paying enough, what is stopping them from searching elsewhere for higher pay?

-If rent is too high what's stopping people from getting a roommate? What's stopping couples from moving in together?

Some people start off poor and end up doing good later down the line, what is stopping others?
Everything you listed is already happening tho

I made 80k. Mother fukkers in here all proud they the richest of the poor. That's a prob
It’s hilarious and sad when people fancy themselves as Republican-lite and fully aware and making positive financial decisions when the stats paint another picture.

The article:
In general, people vastly underestimate how prevalent “working poor” is as a large class of America. Then add in the fact that the overwhelming majority of us is one health condition/crisis away from total devastation like the woman profiled.

I'm almost at the conclusion that a lot of people need their hands held throughout life. Some Communism needs to be thrown in. This current free will system don't work because people lack the knowledge or will power to do anything

-Guidance through highschool and choosing a career
-Guidance through College, Tradeschool, IT, or Military
-Guidance on not flexing and clout chasing spending money on credit cards, expensive cars, or vacations.

It's almost like the average person is either a dumbass or hard headed.
That's essentially been my point tho. The middle class infrastructure was the hand

Everybody ain't exceedingly ambitious or a hustle maniac. Most people don't really want much and yes most people are generally stupid. The effectiveness of the middle class was giving those stupid, moderately ambitious people an opportunity to live a decent life while contributing to society

The problem is ever since the middle class was created, the powers that be have taken every possible step to destroy the same middle class infrastructure they created. Thus the mess we find ourselves in now.

I'm not even socialist or communist. I have posts saying capitalism is human nature. I also believe a working nation is a powerful nation. But I also understand the bottomless pit that is unregulated greed and the wanton exploitation it facilitates

Most people can appreciate a hard days work, but only if the compensation matches the input. Nikkas been getting exploited uncontested for decades and the younger generations ain't goin for it anymore:manny: nikkas are apathetic, and mass apathy is bad for every single one of us. Look no further than Japan, currently in a birthing crisis, for an example of what mass apathy can do to a nation

People can talk all day about the situation we in in this country but the most important thing is we as citizens regardless of how much money u make need to fight back against the system

That means people who make six figures, people who make minimum wage, landlords, renters, and homeless need to stand together so we can stop these corporations from literally squeezing people to the point where they can’t even live a life

1st Round Playoff Exits
Not living in a car ride or die, I’ll tell you that.:mjtf::picard:

But on the real this is a bit spooky because this sista walked up to my car asking for some help because she’s got a short amount of time to get the $ needed I guess for a deposit on her apartment? :sadcam:

And this is a nice area so that makes me sad.

Just finished cardio and I came to do my grocery shopping now (so productive- knocked out my laundry @7am before hitting the gym at 9).

So I guess I’ll give her some cash when I get out of the store if I find her.

I guess it is getting bad out here

The problem is it's impossible to give everyone the same standard of living. There's billions of people kicked off of farms by mechanization and more effecient farming practices.

Take my Girlfriend for instance she grew up in jungled backwater completely off grid. Her hands are rougher than mine because she used to harvest sugarcane as a child. She now lives in the city at a call center making 600 dollars a month. She has a Iphone 12 Pro Max. I didn't buy it for her she bought herself with money that she made while working in the states. I couldn't talk her out of getting it.

For all intents and purposes she should be in here little town on the Pacific coast but now she's in the city and wants a Car. There are literally billions of people like her. Global marketing is extremely effective people in the developing world don't even think about buying a luxery SUV but damn every woman in the world really really really wants an Iphone.

The problem is meeting the demand for all those Iphones.
Lives at the call center? You mean works at? Does she live w/family?
