Wonder woman's highs were better, it was even a better movie until the 3rd act. But captain marvel was better, marvel solved the problem of an uncharismatic lead by surrounding her with charismatic people, plus everybody can't be tony stark

You are putting Wonder Woman on a pedestal when you use it as a standard to compare another movie to as opposed to merely making a thread about what you liked about Captain Marvel. Watched it several times and while not garbage, it's still not what I consider good. Feels like it got so much praise just because it's Wonder Woman and not a terrible movie.

Wonder Woman was overrated, but it was still better than that POS Captain Marvel.

I thought Captain Marvel was terrible. Just completely uninspired and dull with a lead actress completely phoning it in. I wanted to like it because I didn’t like all the hate Brie Larson was getting from angry white men but it ended up being my least favorite MCU movie.

Thought Wonder Woman was much better. Better directed, better story and the chemistry between the two leads was great. I think it ended up getting a bit of a backlash because the critics overrated it a bit but it’s still a solid, fun origin story and the best DCEU movie imo (still haven’t seen Shazam)

Don't think I ever said I didn't like it... Just that it was overrated. I watched it several times because it happened to be on. Not the only movie I've done that for.

CM has a better 3rd act, but nothing in it comes close to the No Man's Land sequence in WW. That scene is spectacular.

It was okay. A lot of Snyder slowdowns in all of the action sequences

Perhaps it's "on a pedestal" because it resonated with an audience, women, while Captain Marvel was just another Marvel movie that had the benefit of being a direct lead up to the highest grossing film of all time and a movie featuring a character nobody cares about but was hyped up as the one who would defeat Thanos in the Infinity War end credits scene.

Perhaps if this was actually about film you would either make a "Wonder Woman is Overrated" thread or a "Captain Marvel Appreciation" thread. What I don't need to preface with perhaps, is that this thread is merely another in a long line of "drivel" that is ruining this sub forum.

P.S, if stannery wasn't your goal you'd know Wonder Woman came out two years before Captain Marvel
